Brooke recently took photos of our newborn, and we could not have been happier with the experience. Our little one was having quite the fussy day, but Brooke was tirelessly patient and kept at it until we got all of the shots I was looking for. This meant the world to me because you don't get a do-over with newborn pics since baby gets older every day! Brooke also made me feel extremely comfortable breastfeeding baby throughout the shoot, and she reassured me when I was upset about baby crying nonstop. We've only seen a sneak peek of the images, but that one shot is so perfect that it alone made the long day and investment worth while! I hope to have Brooke capture more of baby's milestones in the future. :D More...

I am embarrassed that it has taken so long to post a review for Brooke, since Yelp is, after all, how we found her.  Brooke has been taking pictures of our family for nearly 3 years now and like her other clients, we are completely addicted and plan to see her at least once a year to shoot our holiday card.  The other reviewers have captured how amazing, gifted and magical she is, and it is all true.  Brooke, I can't fathom that anyone could do a better job at capturing some of the most important moments and milestones in our family's timeline.  We look forward to seeing the images you captured and getting them back is like opening a gift every time.  Your pictures even make me thankful for my family and we are stoked that you make us look so good!  We get a ton of compliments whenever we send out announcements, invites or holiday cards and we tell everyone that our photographer is "THE BEST".  Because you are. This review is a long time coming. I've worked with Brooke on a number of occasions - both on corporate shoots for my employer and now for my own family photo shoot as well. Her work in each case deserves its own rave review, but I'll combine the two, since I'm limited to just one!Corporate shoots - Brooke did 4 photo shoots for us that resulted in images that we used on product packaging, in ads for national magazines, on our website, in our catalog and event graphics. There are a number of things I love about working with Brooke: her professionalism, how receptive she is to collaboration and feedback, and just how easy it is to work with her. She's a master of her craft- the technical skill behind each of her photos is one thing that I think really sets her apart, and on top of that she's able to capture exactly the "feeling" that you're going for, in her photos. (I work for a mom and baby products company- so 'feeling' is super important when it comes to our photos!)Family Shoots -That "feeling" is also what makes her an incredible family photographer.  Brooke is AMAZING with kids. My daughter fell and skinned her knee in the middle of our family shoot, and Brooke had her back up and laughing within a minute. When someone really takes the time to get to know you and your family, I think it comes across in the photos, and the warmth and joy that Brooke is able to capture in her photos of families has a lot to do with how comfortable she makes people. It really feels like having a family friend there taking the photos (in this case, that family friend happens to be an incredibly gifted photographer!)In both cases, corporate and family, all images were delivered on time, and as promised. Brooke always arrived early and was great about making sure we communicated throughout the shoot to be sure we got exactly what we were hoping for, in terms of specific shot requests and backdrops.It is absolutely an investment to hire a great photographer- and I couldn't be happier with the photos we got from Brooke. I'm gonna say it... I HATE having my picture taken. But when you run a business, you need professional head shots and I chose Brooke because of her portfolio and also the positive impression I got from her when she first responded to my inquiry. Basically, I contacted almost 20 photographers and ended up going with my gut. And my gut was right!Brooke made our photoshoot fun and relaxing. She even invited along my dog because he's my web design company's mascot and she felt I might appreciate some professional shots of the two of us together. She went above and beyond before, during, and after our shoot and the results are fantastic. She captured exactly what I wanted - I look professional but approachable. If I could give 100 stars I would.  Yes, Brooke is THAT good when it comes to her craft. She's got more talent in her pinky than most in her field have in their bodies! I did a 1-1 mentoring session with her this week, and not only was I impressed with the shots she captured, but was really moved by the way she was able to interact with my son. He's usually shy around the camera, and with new people. But with Brooke he LIT UP!  She has this calming, funny and magical way about her that brings out the best in her subjects...and in turn, then best shots!  She's has the most wonderful energy and talent. She's able to capture the most moving moments. She's also an incredible mentor, so if anyone wants to learn from her, her teaching style is hands on, thorough, honest, and easy to follow.  I've learned so much in just one 1-1 mentoring session and I hope that I can grow into a fraction of the photographer she is.  Thanks Brooke! Brooke Bryand is AWESOME!!!  I signed up with her for a 1 year photo package (we are due with our first baby in February) and was worried about making such a big time and financial commitment.  While we are still in the early stages...it has been the BEST decision I could've made.  Not only is Brooke an amazing photographer (our holiday card this year was a true hit and we got a TON of compliments), but she really makes you feel like she is IN it with you...like you are partners.  Call it fabulous customer service, good bedside manner, or just pure high-end professionalism, Brooke delivers on it all.  Photography is one of those very personal and special parts of documenting your life, and in this case, the beginning of an amazing new chapter of welcoming a child into our world...I can't imagine a better person to allow in to be a part of it. Brooke is nothing short of amazing and I cannot recommend her highly enough.  I have known Brooke both personally and professionally for over 5 years and her work ethic and passion for what she does is second-to-none.  Brooke recently captured our maternity photo shoot, it's not easy having your photograph taken at the best of times, but 8 months pregnant can be a challenge, but Brooke made the occasion unbelievably sweet and special for me and my husband.  You will appreciate the energy and fun spirit that she brings to every shoot.  The product that Brooke delivers is truly stunning.  She captures the spirit and essence of her subjects so wonderfully.  I'm so grateful that we had Brooke to be part of documenting this special time in our lives.   Here's looking forward to the newborn shoot in a few weeks time!   - Love Linda  XXX More...

We hired Brooke to photograph our baby and couldn't have been more pleased. Brooke has an excellent eye and took amazing shots of the three of us as well as our little one. She was so natural holding, swaddling and comforting our child. As a new mom, I felt right at ease. The shots Brooke took came out great and she even rushed a few so we could get our birth announcement out.I would highly recommend Brooke. We had a private 30 min mini-shoot with Brooke for our new born babe. At first I thought how much can we actually get out of 30 min? ! Well we got a whole lot of amazing shots that were natural, adorable and full of joy. And even better, it was all so fun and relaxing. Brooke has a natural ease about her and she was great with our little lady, who prior to the shoot (~2 pm) hadn't slept all day, so things could have gone bad ;)  She was great, gentle and sweet  with her. I am ADDICTED to family photo shoots with Brooke.  It's like mommy-crack and she needs to come with a warning label!  We just got back photos from our 30-min shoot today and I'm already planning the next thinking, 'when can I get my next fix? '  I just love them so much- so many great shots of the family, of the baby.  She really brings out the best in our little man, and goes full out (sings, dances, whatever it takes) to get that perfect shot.  And fyi, I'm a hard to please customer.  Generally don't like taking pictures or any pictures with me in it, high anxiety, very picky, etc, etc.  But I couldn't be happier here.  We've used her twice already. Working with Brooke was fun, easy and most importantly stress free.  I have horrible memories from childhood where my mom would make all 4 kids sit and smile for hours while she tried to get the perfect christmas card pictures.  But working with Brooke was so delightful and in the end I had AMAZING pictures.I asked Brooke to take professional headshots for me (BORING) but she gave me pictures that were anything but - they were bursting with life.  My pictures had depth, vibrant colors and tons of personality.During the shoot she made simple adjustments (like putting my shoulders back) that made my pictures so much better.  She worked quickly and gave me a variety of options to choose from.  The hardest part was picking just one picture to use but she helped me decipher the perfect picture for my company headshot.
