Q&As

By maintaining a high level of education and research, and prioritizing client goals and communication. Communication without the right information is an empty promise, and the right information without the ability to communicate is inaccessible. Using both of those tools effectively maximizes client efficacy and results.

There is no secret; it just consistency. Gradually adjusting lifestyle choices to reflect a healthy living (fixing sleep schedule, reducing craving impulses, regular activity that isn't formal exercise, etc.) will play keep roles in getting your body to where you want it to be. For exercise purposes, making sure to be patient and having a training plan that is regularly reviewed and makes adjustments when necessary will be critical to longterm success and maintenance.

I really value exercise and what it can do for people that want to better themselves. Being part of someone's health and fitness journey and watching them reach goals and milestones, and the quality of life changes of "Oh I'm sleeping better now" or "I don't even notice the back pain I used to have" and "I can take my dog on longer walks now" are always so exciting and encouraging to hear.

I kept feeling too limited by my employers in regard to how much I could really help my clientele. I couldn't provide a training plan or extra information and time to clients that needed it without having to go through upper management and supervisors first. Even really intelligent trainers can have a difficult time getting clients and referrals because the gym industry is very "it's all about who you know". I was tired of having my client effectiveness limited by supervisors and management that were not as experienced or educated when it comes to client service, so I decided to be my own boss and confront the national health crisis in my own way.

There are plenty of knowledgable trainers that do not communicate or coach well, and there are many coaches that are not as knowledgable as they should be. Blackwell Fitness strives to achieve excellent communication with customers while maintaining a high level of training knowledge and practical application.

Yes! Online and remote services are standard practice for Blackwell Fitness. In order to make online services productive, we maintain regular contact via phone, text, and/or Zoom to monitor training progress and any potential adjustments to the training plan.

I am vaccinated and willing to make any accommodations that help the client feel safe and comfortable.
