Bison Burger is located inside the Ramirez Beverage store.Ramirez Liquor is awesome if you enjoy alcoholic beverages.Mom and Pop version of Total Wine. If you havent checked out this place, well, I'm telling you now. You are missing out. The food looked so bomblicious, I forgot to take a picture.  My first time here and I had the elk burger and 50/50 with bison. I'm not one to eat red meat often, but I love food, and i love trying different quality meats every once in a while as reward. That elk burger had me mesmerized. The service was amazing and the chef (E.Z.) came out and  had a pretty educational conversation with my father and I about different meats, texture,  the quality, etc. I will be a recurring customer.  Next i will make sure to remember to capture the moment/food. New food place opened up inside Ramirez Beverage Center. Bison Burger is amazing.  The food is full of flavor and juicy. My boyfriend had the bison chili cheeseburger minus the onions and greens. I had the bison salad which has Spring Mix Lettuce Greens, Chopped Tomatoes, Roasted Pecans, Italian Blue Cheese, Jack & Cheddar Mix Cheese W/Balsamic Glaze and Olive Oil and we both tried the garlic cheese fries made with fresh garlic. Sooo good,  they're open 5 days a week and till 9 PM. Which is perfect for me to come during my lunch.  They have elk burgers and wild boar burgers too. They even have a veggie burger. Lots to choose from and they serve breakfast sandwiches all day. Only thing is there's not any tables for a huge group. They have a counter or you can order for take out. Okay this is definitely one of those hidden gems that you need to discover. It is bison meat or option of even Kobe or elk. The price is worth every penny. So, the Bison Burger truck came to our office and turned me into a stalker.  I mean,  the Portabella Mushroom Melt was absolutely but they had me as soon as I smelled the Brussel Sprouts! OMG! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I had the Kobe burger and it was juicy and yummy! Meat from Australia and prime quality. Not to mention the owner is super friendly and hooked us up with free sides and drinks since we had a good conversation! !! Good enough to make one forget every other burger consumed.  The truck is here at my office building today, and I am thrilled that I tried The Bison Burger Truck!  I got a Bison burger and fries.  The burger, prepared by Victor, was Nirvana on a bun.  I have eaten a Bison burger at Fuddruckers several times.  This burger was far superior in every way!  A quarter-pound (at least) pattie is just the right size.  The roll was great (no sesame seeds to mask other flavors), and the fixings we're fresh and of top shelf quality.  The blue cheese provides a nice sharp counterpoint to the tomatoes and arugula.  The meat is some of the best I had enjoyed in years.Yes, Bison meat is more expensive than cow meat; so what?  Bison meat is far healthier.  The Truck also offers wild boar, venison, and a Kobe ground beef burger as well.I will definitely find these guys again! This place is awesome! I just had the Bison Brussel Sprouts, and the regular fries, and my boyfriend had the Fireman burger. The Sprouts were amazing- very flavorful with the addition of caramelized onions. The prices were a little high- however, when you consider that they aren't using traditional meats and the bison, boar, elk etc. probably cost considerably more than your run-of-the-mill beef burger- the prices make sense. Also the guys who run the truck are truly decent humans, and when their truck created higher than normal traffic in my already overcrowded neighborhood they offered to call me when they were leaving so that I could park in the spot when they left. I've been hard-pressed to find a good bison burger since leaving my home state of Colorado for Texas and California; so you can imagine my surprise when I found exactly that amidst the cycle of food trucks that park outside my office. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere?It's hard to create a good atmosphere at a food truck, but the folks behind the counter at Bison Burger were warm, friendly, and fast in their service even when the line swelled a bit. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost?Bison Burger is expensive even by food truck standards, and as evidence of that, my moderately sized Bison Burger ran me a full $14.00 pre tax and tip. I let this slide for two reasons: A) bison is exceptionally expensive, and B) other items on the menu were more reasonably priced. Close call, but Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?This was a really solid burger. While the sesame seed bun was a bit oversized relative to the size of the patty, the patty itself was excellent, and the peripherals like onions and a cheese blend brought everything together nicely. So the burgers are a bit pricey, but wow. Every burger our group tried was amazing!!! The 50/50 fried and brussel sprouts were also so good. The workers were also really nice to our drinks friends. Bison burger is a food truck that's a cut above the rest. It was parked outside a micro brew we were at and decided to give it a try. They offer a nice selection of burgers you don't often see. Bison of course, Elk, Venison and Wagyu beef. The smell was so enticing but I happened to be fasting meats that week so I went with the portobello mushroom melt. Holy cow... It was really good. I also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts. Excellent.  We happened to be sitting in the micro brew and forgot about the order so the guy in the truck brought the food to us so it wouldn't get cold. What? Who does that? Thank you! Needless to say, the service and the food were both excellent. WOW!!!!  This place is legit.  I got the double patty burger and chose one elk patty and one bison patty.  Both great meats but the elk just edged out the bison in flavor.  The sauce was great and the cheese was an excellent compliment to the juicy patties.I called the number when we saw the truck driving away from the designated location.  Apparently, their origination spot had a change of plans and they ended up at Absolution brewery (which was perfect since it was our next stop).  They answered and were really nice and let us know that they should be up and running in no time.Shortly after, we arrive at Absolution and just as they said they were setting up.15 mins later, order my burger and they were all so helpful.Less than 10 mins later, burger in hand and I'm happy we did this!The burger is juicy but not greasy, perfect balance of salty to savory, the umami is on point!A couple minutes later, the owner comes over to our group and asks how we like it.  We give him our feedback and he says that we have to try the wild boar.  He gave us a sample of the bacon and now I know that as amazing as my burger was....it could have been better!  Next time it's the double patty burger with wild boar bacon added...Thanks again for the great burger and the bacon tasting.We will definitely be seeing you again! So yum! Met these guys at the last Artists and Fleas in downtown. My boyfriend and I couldn't decide with all of the options, so we shared a whole spread. ..Elk Burger = deliciousBison Burger = deliciousGarlic Fries = Soooo goodBrussel Sprouts = OMG BEST THING EVER! The Bison Burger was definitely a find. A friend and I went to LACMA today,on a Sunday,to check the truck line up out and scope out the best option for lunch. The Bison truck had the longest line and a smell of charbroiled meaty goodness wafting out. I had the beef burger, which was amazing. A tender patty with a mix of beef and veal. The patty on the burger was tender, a perfect medium with a nice char and delicious seasoning mixed into the patty not just sprinkled on top. It's not on a traditional burger bun, which I love because they tend to get soggy. It's on a toasted ciabatta roll and not overwhelming in size. My friend tried the wild boar which he raved about and we shared an order of the garlic cheese fries.  Now it is important to tell you the garlic cheese fries are out of this freaking world.
