I really did not want to remodel our kitchen because of contractor horror stories; ours and almost everyone we knew. However our neighbor gave us a tour of her remodeled home and spoke about Build Together Better (BTB) in such glowing terms, my husband and I decided to call them. Aviv arrived at our house on the dot, He was easy-going, respectful and completely professional. He listened carefully to what we wanted, made some recommendations and created a design on his laptop. He explained this was not the final drawing because the Project Manager would have to review and approve it. In the meantime, he would send it to us through email and we could let him know about any changes. He came back a second time because we had changes to the drawing and he brought a contract detailing exactly what BTB would do. He said we would have three days to decide if we wanted to sign it. He never asked us for money or pressured us in any way. Since our kitchen had to be gutted completely, I asked him how long he thought it would take. He said maybe five or six weeks. I laughed but he was serious. He explained we had to do our part; appliances, paint, etc. must be ready and waiting. That made sense and we agreed. After we signed the contract, the General Manager Alon, the Project Manager Moshe and the Foreman Ariel came for the final review. They measured everything and gave us a quote. We had investigated prices and theirs was competitive. We told BTB we did not have unlimited funds and they gave us many excellent suggestions on how to save money with the remodel. In the meantime, Sapphire, the BTB Administrator, created a group text for us in case we had questions and suggested we meet with one of the the cabinetmakers they recommended. Eran, the cabinet maker, was not only a talented designer, but a good listener. He never tried to force his ideas on us but patiently explained the pros and cons of the different designs. He said he liked making sure everything was in writing and we would be satisfied with the result. Eran provided a comprehensive drawing and in the next month, we worked with him to make sure we understood everything he was going to do. When construction began, the workers were on time or early and only left after a full days work. They were courteous and very skilled. More than once, we were amazed at their artistry. They obviously took great pride in their work. They never left a mess if it could be avoided. Unless they were a specialist like a carpenter or electrician, the workers always had a supervisor working with them. Speaking of supervisors, the foreman Ariel was such a delight that we still miss him. BTB also had administrative staff coming by regularly to take pictures, check on the work and ask us if everything was OK. Judging from our friends contractor horror stories, we hit the jackpot in how BTB handled fees. Sapphire sent the invoices through email for us to review and if it was OK, she would have a runner pick up the check. The only time they asked for money was to purchase the materials upfront and after the specific work was done. One time the work was 90% completed and we suggested adding that to our check for materials. BTB refused to accept any money until it was 100% completed and approved. They even credited us for work they did not have to do, even if it was originally in the contract! Everything ran like clockwork with this group; smooth, efficient and on time. If we had any issues, it was resolved promptly. Sapphire was the heart and soul of our project and if she could not answer a question immediately, she would find someone who could. Like any construction, there were a couple of unexpected situations once the walls were open. One had to do with the electrical sub panel. This added several thousand dollars to our project and extended the time maybe a week or so. However, BTB offered us an excellent rate to fix it since this was not in our original contract. In a little less than two months, our kitchen was 100% completed. The cabinets were built like a rock and the quartz countertops were perfect. Our cabinet maker made use of every square inch of space. This may be hard to believe, but we have not yet filled up our shelves. From the drywall to the plumbing to the electrical, everything is 100% perfect and working. When Alon the general manager came to do the final walk-through and pick up the last check, he wanted to make sure that we could call them anytime if anything needed to be fixed. Like everyone else in BTB, he took great pride in their fine work. One of the reasons I am writing such a long review people don't always believe me when I told them what a great experience I had working with BTB. Now they can see precisely what made this "miracle" happen. More...

Better Together Builders present pleasantly and for our large, multi-faceted home project we trusted that they would supervise teams of competent professionals working to industry standards. NOPE! Be informed! BTB are not contractors at all, they are middlemen who contract the work to mostly mediocre (+ a couple of awful) subcontractors, often working beyond their skill level - and the BTB office knows full well who they are sending into your home. The fact that the company tried to persuade us not to leave a negative review should be a red flag to anyone. During our renovations, from the office down, we experienced repeated incompetence, miscommunications, multiple shortcuts, delays, and the use of cheap products. Family and friends watched with us in bewilderment as the project slowly lurched from one fiasco to the next; several subsequent professional contractors have confirmed that the work they are now redoing was substandard. There are too many blunders to list, but for some: The lead electrician often left non-English speaking crew members onsite without supervision - one blew our security system console and another the low voltage panel to the exterior blinds. Several of the new switch plates were not put on straight or were gouged by screwdrivers (photo). The first plumber installed a tankless water heater incorrectly, broke an underground patio drainage pipe, ignored the high water pressure in the house, + left 2 indoor fixtures leaking... this, after he said his work was done (jacuzzi photo)! The second plumber cut a sprinkler line. The demo team that replaced the heater cut a water pipe and left it un-repaired, until we discovered it months later. The drain cleaning team spattered thick mud into the new swimming pool (photo). The HVAC crew wired the house incorrectly (they explained that they had not been informed that they were converting gas units to heat pumps...)! They also squeezed a new heat pump so tightly up against our electric panel that we could no longer access it(photo). The carpet layer turned up 1 hour before our house-movers arrived with our furniture, despite us emphasizing to the project manager weeks before that the carpets needed to be in asap. The carpet layer was as surprised & annoyed as the moving crew & us! We paid hundreds of $ extra to the moving company for their delay that day. A handyman poured leftover cement mix down a patio drain - when I mentioned it, he put the next lot of concrete into 2 flowerbeds where it rests as heavy lumps to this day(photo)! Then we had the locksmith from hell who caused more problems to our front gate than we had before he worked on it(photos) - BTB avoided addressing this gate issue, so we have since had to have the entire gate reworked and broken glass panels replaced again by another company. After just 7 months our brand new '20-year mini-pebble pool lining' was deteriorating: BTB did not want to fix this very costly error, suggesting the cause of the pebble breakdown was 'unknown' and therefore not their responsibility - even though 5 separate contractors have all agreed that it is due to the mini-pebble not being blended sufficiently at installation. Throughout, most finish results are average, but in places some are shameful: our new oven is still anchored by two long, thin screws going into chipboard(photo). Our new shelving is still marked up with pencil and is chipboard quality. Our quality BBQ grill was refurbished by one of BTB's subcontractors, who we recently found out had cut corners - he had mispositioned an inferior quality ignitor mechanism, which completely melted when the grill was next used. Our Project Manager rarely oversaw the work, he appeared at the end of each task to check things over and basically to schedule the ensuing repairs! Most of our communication with him was via WhatsApp texts and photo updates. We started sending him update lists ourselves to try to keep the project on track. They were always playing catch-up (yet sent a runner within 30 minutes when a payment check was due!). We were more than patient, waiting for the project to be finished so we could move on - we felt sorry for the workers who were being sent back again and again and again, unable to do much better than they already had. Let me just say that the painting crew was good - but when we gave BTB this positive feedback, that crew was then used for all sorts of other jobs outside of their professional realm (which they admitted to us) - and those other results were not as good. Our agreed 3-month project dragged on for 16 months but could have been completed a lot more quickly. After voicing strong concerns over the course of a year, the BTB office finally sent in "their best plumber" and "their best electrician", who they "had to pay 10X more".... Even after 16 months the work list was not completed. Everyone remained polite but we were exhausted by their methods and called it a day. Let the photos below speak for themselves. More...

We did a kitchen remodel the summer of 2023. We got 4 estimates and we went with Better Together Builders because I really liked Ava, and felt I could talk with her The one good thing I would say about the company and Ava was that I was able to easily reach her. I spoke with her or saw her everyday of the project. That said, our kitchen remodel was a nightmare. The first problem we had was that the main worker ( our forman) always came late, even though in the contract it stated that the work day was 9-5. Since he came late he often worked late, interfering with our trying to make dinner in our makeshift kitchen. The demo went fine, but we started noticing some problems with the quality of the work, as soon as they started putting in the floor. My husband immediately noticed that the grout was applied inconsistantly, some grout being higher than others. They said they would fix it at the end. ( Later came to find out that this was not possible to do) We also noticed that the hole for the cooktop vent was off center. We pointed this out to them at the time, but it did not get addressed until the end of the project. By that time, there was an electrical plate cover that had been installed and it showed behind the hood. They had to remove the hood and reinstall it so it covered the plate. ( this reflected one example of poor communication between the different workers and should not have happened. ) Our cabinets went in without a problem, but they installed one LARGE drawer instead of 2 small drawers, as was designed and approved in the blueprints. We told them of the mistake and they said they would get me the 2 smaller drawers. What Ava and BTB did NOT tell us was that they had to use another company due to the size of our kitchen and that it was semi custom. It took months for the 2 drawers to come in, and they had multiple excuses as to why they did were not available. When the 2 drawers came in they were unsatisfactory. They did not match the color of the other cabinets, and the design on the fronts was not the same. We have had these drawers remade, repaired and repainted at least 4 times and they still do not match the rest of the kitchen. We were so tired of dealing with this, that we are just accepting it, but it is a contsant reminder of how dissappointed we are with our kitchen. A minor issue with the cabinets is that the bottoms are unnfinished and you can see the screws. This speaks to the quality of their work in general. Things continued to be problematic during the rest of our job. Our forman had his truck and all his tools stolen. I realize this was not his fault, but it delayed our project by over a week. When he returned to work he came later than ever and the quality of his work was poor. He was finally fired. The remainder of the work was done by 2 different workers both who were good, but the quality of the products they used and and their workmanship was only fair. Overall we are very dissappointed with the experience. I could go on and on as there were several other issues, but needless to say, I. would NOT recommend them. We had hoped that this would be our " forever kitchen" since we are seniors, but I doubt it was hold up for the next 15 years!!! More...

We hired Better together soon after we purchased our first home that was in dire need of remodels. We literally interviewed with 10'different contractors. Nikki stood out to us the most. She was confident, organized, and has an amazing eye for interior design. The price was high - but I would say it's pretty comparable to everyone else we interviewed - and for the time frame we had - we needed a one stop shop company which will invariably not be cheap. We had 3 months to remodel our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. They had 95% of it done by the time line. Nikki was so easy to work with - super responsive, helped us make design and fixture decisions, and her energy is lovely to be around. We felt like we were in GREAT hands with Nikki, and we are sooo happy with the final product. Anything that was out of our budget, Nikki gave us alternate ideas or helped to find ways to bring the cost down. If you want QUALITY and are on a time crunch - go with BTB. Thank you Nikki More...

Better Together Builders came to my rescue when my townhome in Pacific Palisades had a flood which took out the whole lower level of two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This was caused by a mainline sewage pipe back up to our row of homes. I had Yanni Brickman's contact information from sometime ago buried in a recommendations file and before he formed this company. BTB gave me a very reasonable and accurate bid for the work. I had several other contractors also give me a bid. We began by their handling the build back of the two bedrooms---the drywall, painting, molding. After that was finished, as I was still trying to live in my townhouse with the whole mess (and two large dogs), they redid the second bathroom. I can't say enough good things about the whole group. Alon was the project manager. Josie, Edgar,et all, including the plumber, the tile installer, Joel, the electrician were all professional, skilled, knowledgeable to my questions, patient, and polite. Everything went off like clockwork. Sapphire from the office notified me regularly of scheduling and who was coming and when, including many city inspectors. The finished project was just what I wanted. They never missed a beat. "Welcome to the Better Together Builders Family!" You will hear this if you decide to work with this incredible company. Guess what? This isn't something that the company just says, but they actually mean it. Much like a good family, I know I can rely on Better Together. They have been extremely reliable and supportive throughout the process of remodeling our 1950's kitchen. My husband and I had around 5 estimates completed before remodeling our kitchen in the summer of 2023. Not only was Better Together's estimate fair and competitive, but they immediately had a game plan and walked us through the entire process. We primarily worked with Lena. She was so friendly, upbeat, reassuring and helpful! I felt so comfortable with Lena from the get go. I relied on her solid expertise and great taste. She is an asset! Overall, the entire remodeling experience was positive. Our dream kitchen has now become a reality. Fast forward to today (December 2023)...our kitchen remodel has been completed for a few months, yet we are still a part of the Better Together Builders Family. We had a small issue with a flooring plank. Ultimately, it was a manufacturing problem with the plank itself. We contacted Lena who relayed our dilemma the company. We were contacted by Ziggy who was very helpful. We also ended up working with Michelle (who is a client relations specialist) and they resolved the issue. We are so grateful!! Michelle scheduled a time for a repair person to come in and fix the plank. She called the day of to ensure we were informed of the arrival of the repair person and to know if we had any other concerns/needs. She even texted and called to follow up and ensure the job had been done properly. She reminded my husband and I that we have her number should we need anything in the future. Our contractor, Better Together Builders, did a lot of work (listed below) and they did it on time and within budget. We were new to the world of construction and remodeling so it has definitely been a learning experience for us. In August 2023 during the estimate with our project manager Tal, we asked to move into our house within about six weeks (end of September) and he said they could do it and they really did pull it off, even despite a handful of change orders! We were excited to have a construction team that partnered with us and expected us to purchase and procure any final finish materials so we could make those decisions about style and availability and delivery timeframes, and have control over that part of the project. I worked hard to make sure we had our desired hardwoods and baseboards stacked in the garage to keep the project moving, and this gave us a feeling of empowerment. The subcontractors and workers hired by BTB were professional, courteous, hard working and performed at a high level of quality. Most of the patching and painting was so well done that it is very difficult to remember which walls were patched and what anything looked like before, which is the whole point, and feels like magic when you really think about it. Two months of remodeling with Better Together Builders involved: demolition, canceling some plumbing; moving 15 large shelves; removing thirteen old intercoms / security panels; partially remodeling 4 bathroom ceilings including 3 soffit removals and raising an entire ceiling from 7 to 8 feet, and all the related drywall, patching, texture and painting; refinishing 30 cabinets in 5 rooms; electrical work including: installing 2 new ventilation fans & 5 ceiling fans; adding 21 LED lights to 5 ceilings, fixing various electrical problems; preparing and flooring 1800 square feet with engineered hardwoods, plus a small complex custom hardwood floor design; installing hundreds of feet of baseboards, more painting; putting back 15 shelves; touch ups, etc. Almost every room in our house has been transformed. Tal was responsive and organized and calm and collected and followed up every few days, juggling a tremendous amount of work, and patiently putting up with our stream of questions and even numerous (minor) complaints. As in any large project, some small hiccups did occur, but Tal and the team took responsibility and eventually everything was made right. In an ideal world we wouldn't need to worry about this, but in the real world it is important that BTB showed that they would do right by us, even for small things that needed to be corrected. They gained and retained our trust. If you can hire a contractor as reliable and honest who can deliver exceptional results like Better Together Builders you should count yourself lucky. After completing this phase of construction, every day we look around the house and we are still impressed with what we accomplished together. More...

In an ideal world we wouldn’t need to worry about this, but in the real world it is important that BTB showed that they would do right by us, even for small things that needed to be corrected. They gained and retained our trust. If you can hire a contractor as reliable and honest who can deliver exceptional results like Better Together Builders you should count yourself lucky. After completing this phase of construction, every day we look around the house and we are still impressed with what we accomplished together. More...

UPDATED REVIEW: see last paragraph because they did fix everything 35k bathroom remodel. About a year later one of 2 vertical vanity mirrors become unfastened on one side, they come out to reattach. Also, toilet paper holder keeps coming loose and is becoming unattached. They repair with some kind of pliable material which begins loosening about a month later. A few months later, the other vanity mirror detaches and is dangerously close to detaching and crashing down on the floor or somebody. I tell them it's dangerous and am assured this will be handled on a priority basis. 3 days go by, and I hear nothing, so call again. The guy never followed up with his dispatcher, but instead tells me he thought they put it on priority. Sorry, will try and have someone contact me. Unacceptable answer. He promises he himself will come Monday and take it off the wall until he can get it reaffixed to the wall. He comes Monday, looks at it, says he has no tools, asks to see my tools. No L wrench is correct size, so goes to Home Depot for same. He says this is not what he does, not a builder. Puts the fallen side back up, tightens it to wear he is 99% sure it will not fall until gets handyman here to repair. Owner calls me . I Explain why my dissatisfaction. Says will have someone here to fix as soon as his (handyman) schedule permits, busy! Really? I have been waiting since my initial call over a week ago. I claim my right to have priority. It is Weds, 2? Weeks after initial call, and now my priority appt is for MONDAY! Not happy with them at all. Owner calls in response to my Yelp review. Says they will be here in the morning to fix everything. They did. Everything was repaired, reinstalled and or refinished to where it should have been in the 1st place. Now, I am satisfied, but 1) don't appreciate the poor workmanship and hassle it caused to begin with 2) leaving review so they will stay on top of things like this, and not put a customer off unleashes you make noise as this mirrors were very unsafe how they were installed initially. They don't do free estimates! They charged $40 to come out to see the job and give an estimate! The estimate was very high and they didn't do things they had on the estimate! They would arrive at 4pm, work for 2 hours and leave! We found out later our neighbor was very dissatisfied also! We won't be hiring them or recommend them again!! More...

We hired Better Together for a bathroom remodel back in February. It was completed in June. To be straight to the point: Pros - Upfront planning - Rough schedule of jobs to be performed - Availability for communication Cons - Mostly remote project management. Our project manager showed up at our house 5/6 times at most. Due to this there were egregious errors with a subcontractor when it comes to plumbing which I explain below. - Dismissive and constant push back from the foreman who ended up mainly being the project manager from our vantage point. When their team made blatant mistakes that we had to point out ourselves, the project manager nor the foreman took accountability or advocated for us. Our shower did not turn on when they proclaimed it "done" (without testing it) because the valve was installed too deep and they didn't account for the tile float. The foreman initially said that "it didn't work and didn't look right because of a missing part" (there were NO missing parts. This would be deflection and a lack of accountability for their poor planning) They had to cut a hole in the opposite wall in our child's bedroom to push it out as the tile work was already completed. (Leaving a huge mess in his room along with soldering fumes) After we could actually turn on the shower, we uncovered another issue. The project manager and foreman told us it was "our preference" to have a hand shower turn on first with the handle instead of the shower head. In reality, they never asked for our preference. They deflected here because they incorrectly installed the valve and rough-in by connecting the shower head to the diverter valve. They didn't read the manual. Full stop. So after several rounds of negotiation and push back, they had to cut a larger hole in the wall at the end of the project and completely redo the rough-in by cutting and moving pipes again. You can decide for yourself whether this is normal for a contractor that supposedly has done hundreds of bathroom remodels. We had countless issues in a similar manner as above. This is all you need to know about Better Together and can stop here. --- Additional issues: Since the project manager nor foreman were here often we (my husband and I) were constantly interrupted during the day. Which was especially concerning when a "new" crew was showing up. We had to direct them. Multiple times were told things that weren't true and when I made a comment that trust had been lost the foreman stormed out as I was explaining a concern I had (tub filler was very loose) and said how "it's very rude to tell people you don't trust them" (is it rude that I didn't trust him? Or rude that we caught them lying or misleading multiple times or that he stormed out of my house while I was expressing a concern?) Electrician didn't bring our bathroom up to code (we almost didn't pass inspection but they wrote it off as "preexisting//inherited flaw with house". if you're redoing a room you want it done right and up to code) When we mentioned we would've liked the opportunity to put our bathroom up to code were dismissed again "well it would've taken longer" yes but it would've been worth it and even more, we should've been given the option. He "cleaned" / swept all the dry wall dust into our room because the plastic was not put back up (again no one managing the project to ensure the plastic was put up) Dry Waller & painter was "done" with dents (not sanded wall) sloppy dripping paint marks (we had to ask them to come back and fix this) anyone who takes pride in their job would never have left it looking like that (pictures below) - Drywall pieces and cement was dumped into our lawn (I found nails as well) - Concrete "water" was dumped into our dirt area of our house [Note: Today the shower button is still not properly installed and it is hard to use the hand held shower. Also something is wrong with the plumbing and is constantly leaking. We have to pay to have someone come back out] More...

I'm writing a review at roughly the halfway point of the kitchen and bathroom remodel we've got happening in our condo. We're very new to the experience of construction, but our project manager Tomer has been understanding with our many, many questions and specific requests throughout the process. Overall the crew has been very accommodating in helping us find ways to realize the vision we have for our [admittedly limited] space, and the workers have been very polite and courteous throughout. In addition, the weekly updates from the office about what to expect each week are helpful with understanding how the remaining schedule is shaping up. We look forward to seeing the space continue to transform in the back half of the construction process and will update the review accordingly! More...

I recently hired Better Together Builders to demo and rebuild an exterior wooden staircase that had too many years of termites and water damage. FIVE STARS for communication, the project manager, Tomer, and overall responsiveness. Tomer was patient with many questions and concerns from various family members and was accessible any day or (reasonable) time - even from his vacation! In the end, I was happy with the product (photos included). I only give four stars because it took longer and cost more than projected. While this may be true with most construction projects, they also did not call the SoCal Gas Company's 811 number prior to digging and found unexpected gas lines. (Even I knew about the 811 number and asked why it hadn't been called.) There were some small hiccups along the way but I was very happy with the way that Tomer and his colleagues handled communication and resolution of the issues. I definitely would put them at the top of the list for future projects. More...

We just enjoyed our first evening in our newly renovated addition at our home in Highland Park. Nikki did an amazing job managing our project from start to finish. She was great at communication, listening to our questions and needs, very understanding when unforeseen things occur, and overall excellent to work with. We had water damage in our back room from the heavy rains in Jan 2023. We remediated the water damage with another company and waited until this summer to begin the repair process. We've had really bad experiences with other contractors in the past and were very weary of jobs stalling out before completion. That was not the case with Better Together Builders. Nikki and the team at BTB quoted us a very competitive price and a timeline of less than a month to complete our project. Nikki did a great job letting us know each phase of the project when we had to make design choices/purchases to stay on target. BTB hired excellent trades to do each of the jobs (demo/drywall repair, installed vinyl flooring and baseboards, custom design of pre-fab counters with quartz countertops, backsplash, and tile work). In addition to the interior renovation, we had a channel drain installed in the backyard, along the foundation to correct the poor design of our previous contractors. All of the work done by the BTB team and subcontractors was completed with care, quality, and attention to detail. Big shout out to Nelson, one of their lead contractors, who took extra care and pride in his work. Many thanks, Nikki for making us believe in the home renovation process again! It's not scary or frustrating when you have an awesome Project Manager like Nikki guiding you along. More...

We found Better Together Builders in June 2023 to initially help us out with some house repairs after the heavy winter rains left us with extensive damage to our back kitchen and bathroom. Our prior experience with contractors had been pretty confusing and stressful, and likely had left our home vulnerable to the water damage by totally overlooking the backyard drainage issue without telling us, dragging out the remodeling process by several months, ignoring our messages, overcharging, and taking our money in the end. Needless to say we were skeptical needing to go into another contract to address repairs, and found BTB during an extensive internet search. BTB connected us with Nikki to discuss the details of our projects and initial estimates. Compared to several other project managers, Nikki stood out not only with her knowledge of all related costs, but also an understanding of building practices, vendors, and assurances of how she would involve us in every stage of the building process. Throughout each stage, Nikki's communication was consistently clear, responsive, flexible, forward-thinking, and transparent in ways that helped us decide how to make adjustments as-needed. By the end, we were TOTALLY satisfied with the quality and appearance of our backyard drainage, kitchen, and bathroom. BTB's teams and contacts are great to work with, their costs are reasonable, and they finished our projects on-time as projected. We ABSOLUTELY credit Nikki and BTB with restoring our confidence in the whole remodeling process, and are definitely enlisting them on any future projects. More...

I recently had the pleasure of transforming my kids' bathroom into a playful, functional, and safe haven for my kids. The remodel was a true success with better Together Builders, Alon was the guy that helped us run this project from start to finish, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! From the very beginning, the process was smooth and hassle-free. Better Together Builders understood my vision perfectly and were able to bring it to life flawlessly. The level of expertise and attention to detail displayed throughout the project was truly impressive. One of the ideas that Alon provided was to actually raise the ceiling to create much more spacious bathroom being the bathroom was only 5 x 8. That idea was amazing because it made the space look a lot bigger than it is. Another notable aspect of the remodel was the incorporation of smart technology. The introduction of motion-sensor faucets and LED lighting not only added a touch of modernity but also made the bathroom more energy-efficient. My kids were fascinated by these features, which made their bathroom experience even more enjoyable. The attention to detail throughout the remodel was truly commendable. The craftsmanship and quality of the work were outstanding, leaving no room for complaint. The materials used were durable and easy to clean, perfect for a bathroom catering for my kids. After receiving several recommendations from local residents, we decided to contact BTB for the remodel of our downstairs - kitchen, dining and family room. Our remodel was quite an extensive one which involved knocking out a support wall, opening it up to a single open floor plan area. The initial consult with Yoti was spot on - friendly, professional, listened to our concerns and requirements. From that we received a detailed project plan, rendering and quote. No other builders we had contacted provided the level of detail and most importantly, established a level of comfort with us for such a huge project. Once we moved forward, everything moved so fast and so efficiently. The teams all worked so hard and worked late or on partial weekends if they fell behind a bit, always asking for permission. The whole project took about 3 months to complete and some of that was due to our increased scope requests which they'd always detail out and get our approvals on. I will be honest here in that the last bit of details took the longest, as they usually do once things come together. However, they worked with us on any challenges and they were very accommodating with all our last minute changes. Minus our change requests the budget was pretty spot on. Yoti and Edgar - our day to day PM, were so great to work with. The whole experience was worth every penny and we plan to use them again for our next remodel. More...

I had lots of estimates given to me by several contractors to complete a remodel of our sunken living space library area after water flooded the room with the Southern California winter storms. Tal from Better Together Builders came to our rural property during the remediation process and listened to what I was hoping to do and went through my Pinterest boards and magazine photos with me. Tal has a very creative decorator's eye but also was able to tell me what was and wasnt possible for the space. He knew exactly where to meet me and source the gorgeous wood facade for the fireplace remodel, helped me find tile to match 21 yo tile that was adjacent to the space (no small feat!) and find the perfect electric fireplace. Tal helped me salvage and redesign the existing built in bookcase, which turned out better then I envisioned. It is near impossible to find good contractors, even harder to find honest ones that dont mark up materials. Tal was so attentive, conscientious, creative and quick. Tal was invaluable to us and our home and I couldn't imagine doing any other home project without him! He had "magician" Cesar do all the gorgeous finishing work, another invaluable asset!
