Berceli Kitchen and Home Design is an absolute Dream to work with. On BUDGE and on TIME just seemed to good to be true, but it absolutely was the reality we experienced. Our kitchen renovation is SPECTACULAR! They were beyond professional, and in my experience, true Concierge Construction. I am a micromanager by nature and Joseph of Berceli Kitchen & Home Design was every bit the consummate professional that I had hoped he would be, giving me to confidence to let go and trust the process by which he and his team work. We live in a condo and therefore there are endless details to attend to, all of which were handled seamlessly and without issue, giving me more time to breath and relax. Every single question and concern I had was addressed in real time, holding true to his commitment of remaining in contact at all times. When Berceli promises you a team assigned to your project he means it. These men were present every single day. Wilfredo and Vano are perfectionists that are truly talented. Not only did I trust them in our home, but I genuinely felt they operated and with a standard of excellence and professionalism that I had never seen before with previous contractors. I will absolutely, without hesitation hire Berceli again for my future bathroom project. I was already planning to do so before our initial project was complete, which speaks to how happy I truly am. When my husband and I decided to renovate our apartment, we interviewed few contractors. When we met with Berceli, we knew immediately that Joseph is our guy. He gave us the most informative consultation, being very thorough and knowledgeable. He created great design for our kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and took care of all aspects of the project from beginning to end. He oversaw all details and addressed all issues throughout the project, and was always available to answer any of our questions. The beautiful remake Berceli had fashioned of my neighbor's entire apartment was enough to recommend them when I sought to redo my hopelessly outdated kitchen. Mindful of my limited budget, I laid out a clear vision of what I wanted for my kitchen then waited for it to be rejected out of hand as unrealistic within the given financial restraints. Instead, Berceli went to work immediately identifying ways to deliver the look I wanted using the highest quality material and fixtures while keeping costs within prescribed parameters. A few weeks later, the redesign was complete, my kitchen transformed from a 60-year old dysfunctional space into a modern, sleek, welcoming spot that far exceeded my expectations. Today my kitchenware shines through glass-walled cabinets with slender nickel pulls; stainless steel coupled with warm walnut and brilliant white tile frame a workspace I genuinely enjoy. Berceli Kitchen and Home Design did an excellent job. We first hired Jospeh, the, owner of the company, to renovate our kitchen.
As a result of the great work he did with the kitchen we then hired him to design and renovate 2 full bathrooms and a powder room!
Jospeh is a true professional. He spent a great deal of time on site, was easy to contact, and communicated regularly. His designs mirrored our atheistic and blended seamlessly with our overall decor. He offered a number of options as to the color palette, materials to be used, and desired styles while being very respectful of our budget and timing.
If the time ever comes we will hire him to do another project.

I had a galley kitchen in my co-op that needed to be completely replaced. I went to Berceli because it was a local business. I met Josef and together we went through all my options including design, cabinet type, countertops, backsplash, lighting, appliances, floor tiles, faucets etc. The materials were tasteful and of the highest quality. After working together and finally agreeing on the finished product, the work began. The timeline was right on point. The workmanship was impeccable. Each day I came home to a clean, neat place with no problems. It was painless. The finished product was well worth it. I have received rave reviews from everyone. I have used the service of Berceli to do an entire renovation of a luxury 2,000 sqft condo in Manhattan. Joseph has always been available and helpful to find the best solutions during each step of the renovation of the unit. He has a perfect knowledge of each construction phase and is actually doing the job of a contractor, project manager and designer. Joseph was a pleasure to work with, and his team did a fantastic job on my apartment renovation. He delivered the project on time and kept me updated every step along the way. I had a lot of design ideas and his team was able to produce detailed renderings before construction so that I knew exactly what they would be doing. His attention to detail is impressive, and he was receptive to all of my feedback and last minute requests. The owner, Joe, was extremely responsive to phone calls, questions and general requests. His construction crew was friendly, competent and always on time. we have received many compliments on the kitchen design and the materials are high quality and beautiful. in fact, we have used Berceli for several of our home upgrades and would happily use him again. In the summer of 2012, after a decade of living in my apartment, I decided to renovate my kitchen. I visited Berceli Kitchen and Home Design in Fort Lee and met with the owner, Joseph Safdie.
He had done a number of apartments in my complex so he was familiar with the layout and the procedures of dealing with a co-op board. After he came over, I was very impressed with his vision and attention to detail (which rivals my own).
Joseph interviewed me, set up a budget, helped me choose materials, made various layouts and modifications and incorporated unique features and design elements (e.g. chiseled stone in the adjacent dining room wall). He walked me through the contract signing (without rushing me), obtained co-op management approval and municipal building department permits, oversaw his workers and kept me updated throughout the process. While I had signed the contract in the beginning of September, demolition began in late October only to be interrupted by a 10 day power outage caused by Superstorm Sandy. Remarkably, his crew were still able to complete the job as scheduled in the contract and within budget. The finished product became the envy of my neighbors (one of whom subsequently hired Berceli to renovate her kitchen). I highly recommend Joseph and his crew.

Very responsive and stayed completely on budget even though we wanted some changes halfway through the buildout. Joseph has an amazing ability to talk to you about what you want and return a proposal that clearly shows he was listening closely. But what really sold me on Berceli is after one year, we needed something replaced. Even though it was a small thing, he sent one of his guys over to replace it right away. I have never met a contractor with that level of customer service and follow through. I recommend Berceli to everyone who ever asks for a recommendation. More...

This is a wonderful company! Everyone there is helpful and professional, and the company provides a high standard of work. They go out of their way for their customers. Berceli did a gut renovation of the living room, kitchen, and hallways in my Manhattan apartment and it was spectacular. Joseph has excellent taste and a great design sense and he helped me make really good decisions. The work was done extremely well, and on time and on budget.. They're not the cheapest and not the most expensive - their price is reasonable for the quality of materials and workmanship and the customer service they provide. II felt I definitely got value for money. In fact, a year or so after that major work, I engaged them to come back and do work in the master bedroom. I recommend them highly! More...
