Great IPA. Best beer in Detroit. Also..... pizza is noteworthy. So good!!! Fun place to come w friends. Best burger in all of Royal I am updating this review post-COVID lock down. We got carryout last night after seeing they were open on a walk downtown Royal oak yesterday. We were so excited to be able to support!We got the juicy Lucy burger (so good) and I have to say we've gotten burgers to go from Luxe in Birmingham as well as Owl in Royal oak (both similar types of old fashion burgers) and WOW did this one kick their asses!!!!!!! This was by far the best burger we've had. Piping hot when we got home, too!!We also ordered fries on the side (still crispy!!!) and nachos (still cheesy) I couldn't believe how the food kept. The brought it right out to our car and took cc over the phone. Lastly, the owner came out and asked for our growler. We didn't have one and they hadn't gotten any new ones in but then he said to hang on and he went inside and found one clean one that was left. He filled it up and gave it to us. All this for $52.....Unreal! Thank you to the owner Tim for running an amazing restaurant!!! More...

This is such a great joint! The beer is awesome and the food is fantastic! excellent service as well. the chicken nachos are the best! I also love the Mediterranean white pizza. I also just went to their first beer dinner, which was amazing. Glad to hear they are going to do it quarterly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to another one. The GM, head brewer and chef did a great job planning the food and beer pairings. I recommend checking the next one out! More...

AMAZING FOOD! We had their twist on the Cuban and it was so good! It was a cross between a Cuban and a Italian sub. The home brewed beer also did not disappoint. We would definitely visit again!

I eat here often, and have for years. I realized I have never wrote a review. But upon coming in here yesterday and finding they had did some remodeling and updates, I figured I would. I rely on this place in Royal Oak as somewhere I never need to wait too long to be seated and I would say the food is always pretty consistent. The menu is a mix of a little bit of everything, and hasn't changed too much over the years. I am a huge fan of the Sante Fe Salad and beer cheese soup. I pretty much order that every time. I will say their fish and chips is usually really good too. Prices I think fit the menu well and of course they help you pair everything with a good beer. I moved out of Michigan almost ten years ago, so was excited to have dinner with family in Royal Oak and see all that has changed. It was a Sunday night before Christmas week and the Royal Oak Brewery was surprisingly slow, there were maybe two other tables there and there was a Santa at the bar. Service was friendly and attentive and did a good job dealing with us when we added another person and waited for them to arrive to order. The pretzel appetizer was satisfying and I absolutely loved my country grilled cheese sandwich (with apples and bacon-yum!). Next time I'd like to try the pizza because my uncle kept raving about it. My only disappointment is I wanted to try one of their beers, but they all seemed to be very high in hops, so I ended up with a guest cider. However, three people got the Royal Oak Red (apparently what they are known for) which I sampled and was pretty good! More...

Okay!!!! Sooooo the service was trash at first there were literally 5 people in the building (white), and we walked in, was lightly greeted and the completely ignored for a good 7-10minutes or so. So much to the tune of "Its Time To Go" but I didn't! I stayed. The waitress told us there was a full bar, which is always funny to me because this is hardly ever the case! I asked for Remy VSOP and what do ya know?! They didn't have It :-(. So much for full bar?I then ordered my food and this is where the stars get to blazing! I ordered the wings but instead of getting hot or BBQ, I had them mix it and put both Hot and BBQ on there (no you can't order all flats, I tried). Ooooweee! The spice from the hot but the sweetness of the BBQ was everything! I also ordered the blackened cat fish. LEMME TELL UUUU!!!! OMG! It comes with red beans and rice (separated) and was AMAZE BALLS.
