I was looking to purchase a laptop for school work.  I knew I needed some programs (PowerPoint, word and excel), but that's pretty much the extent of my knowledge. Neil walked me through the process. He asked what I needed, suggested items I might need, but didn't force anything on me. It was nice to know he wasn't just trying to get me to spend as much as possible. Everything I wanted, I got. And he made sure that I knew what I was purchasing. He helped me get exactly what I wanted. Whatever I need, he's there to help. I came to Neil needing to upgrade my Acer Nitro 5 laptop's storage by installing a secondary 256GB hard drive, and getting Windows 10 up and running on the new drive. Neil was extremely accommodating and helpful in solving my problem. The machine that I brought to him was an older model with outdated software, and was a bit on the cheaper side - because of this, there were a number of unexpected hiccups during the upgrading process. For my trouble, Neil hooked me up with a 1TB hard drive, as well as a 4GB ram upgrade for only 10 dollars. I needed to use my laptop the next day, and Neil went the extra mile to help me solve my issue the same day I contacted him. I am extremely satisfied with the money I spent on his services. Wow this business is very professional.  Not only was he able to stop what he was doing, and to work on my laptop, but he did it on a Friday before the holiday!  I just called, stopped over and he got the repair done!  This is someone who puts business first above all else.  He showed great customer service.  While working on my laptop, he texted me with status updates on his progress and even provided pictures.  It doesn't get any better than that folks.  Other businesses I called or visited gave me estimates of two and three times as much in terms of pricing.  They also stated it would take days to finish!  He finished in less than an hour.  If you're looking for someone to give you a honest assessment and turn around time, plus at a good price, he is worth the shot.  Thank God for being patient and shopping around. My computer dead after a power cut, I tested it by myself and have no idea what's wrong. I found Neil's shop by searching computer repair shop on google and saw his place has 100% positive reviews. Which impressed me and helped me made the decision to choose him. ( Also a lot of other shop were closed because of the virus, really wanna thank him still working!!) I am a "I got a guy" kind of guy. Neil is now my guy.I was having issues with my 2013 MacBook Pro. It just wouldn't stay on. I saw great reviews of Neil's work and decided to contact him. Neil is the best! My parents computer is a bit old and was giving them some trouble. The Ethernet driver failed somehow and basically stopped working. I spent hours on it myself looking for ways to repair it but came up short. Came across Neil's business on Google and gave him a call. Neil drove to my parents house, picked up the computer, and brought it to his house to fix it. It took a couple of days. The fix resulted in a full windows reboot. He saved all the files and completed a windows 7 reboot (originally what came with the computer) and then upgraded up to windows 10 (my parents upgraded a couple of years ago). Cost of repairs was $185 which included the windows license and a stick of RAM which he charged me 5 bucks for to make my parents computer run a little faster. If your computer isn't working? I called BACR and spoke with the owner (?) Anyhow I had a problem with my Macbook pro (2012) with losing my internet, the gentleman told me to fix it would cost $150. but before doing this try installing a USB wifi adaptor for around $20. and if not he would fix it.  I told him I am an old man and don't know computers and recently lost my job and he really imposed on me to try this.  Well PROBLEM SOLVED.  I bought the USD and my son helped me install it (oh who we kidding he did it) and I have a brand new computer.  This gentleman, (I wish I asked him his name) was gracious, patient and really kind in trying to help me.  I would definately use him with any computer repair in the future as he is a man of integrity and kindness.  He's got a customer for life with me and anyone I know with a computer issue (and I know a lot of seniors who need the help). Neil is great! Today is our second go-round. I sent him a message through his web site about an old hard drive that fell off the top of my desktop tower a few months ago and stopped working. It was full of irreplaceable genealogical research records and all of the program downloads for my desktop. I really NEED that stuff! Within 10-15 minutes he was pulling up at the front of my house to pick it up. I barely had time to disinfect it. I'm so glad I've got him, and he's young enough that he'll probably outlast me. Neil was very knowledegable and helpful when my Windows 10 laptop inexplicably decided not let me log in. We agreed the best bet was to upgrade my system to a (much) larger drive, installing a fresh version of windows. We later discovered that all my data was totally encrypted, without my recollection of having done so, and I had no record of the decryption key... I was thinking it was a ransomware exploit, but Neil put me at ease, "You simply need to call Microsoft with your userID and they will help you decrypt the data." During this hard time and shelter in place not everyone is open . My computer was giving me trouble so I decided to check on yelp  on places that repair computers.  I decided to give BACRS a chance based on his honest opinion .  The location was  far from where I live so I took my computer there to check it out. I called Bay Area Computer Repairs for my Medical Clinic. I needed to upgrade all my computers and set up a network and 'modernize' my clinic. I called Neil who answered the phone immediately. He asked what my needs were. So I told him exactly what needed to be done. Before starting on any work or giving me a quote he insisted on coming to my clinic to do a walk through. We basically needed to: network my new computer systems, set up a new modem and wifi network, install a EHR (electronic healthcare records) system, install my wireless printer and scanner on my network and a few little things. Neil also recommended specific equipment after assessing my needs. He was very conscious of my budget and what I needed. Overall, I would give Neil a 10 star review if I could. He was very responsive to my calls and emails. His recommendations on equipment were spot on. He was courteous, honest, upfront, professional and his fee's are very reasonable. I found Neil on Yelp last year to upgrade my 16 inch 2009 MacBook Pro because I saw many solid good reviews of him.  Neil helped me to purchase a battery and a new hard drive on line together. I paid him that and his labor separately.   He's very forthcoming, transparent and honest about what I'm paying for and what I need to know about my computer.  I like him so much that I asked him to build a 13 inch MacBook Pro for me separately to bring to work or coffee shop.
