5 stars is all I can give? I use Mike 3 days a week for an afternoon walk for my dog. Mike is wonderful with him, treats him like his own. Gives the best and often hilarious updates with pictures through his amazing online app. There are days I’m seriously laughing out loud with his updates. He interacts with my dog so much and makes it really fun!!! I seriously can’t wait to view “the walk of the day” because they make smile so big. Davey also always seems to have a smile on his face when around Mr. Mike!! A few times Mike alerted me to things that I may not have been aware of like an upset tummy or when he may have seemed more tired. Mike even cleans up if my dog has an accident in the house. I’m incredibly grateful I was referred to this company. I have never had a concern or felt worried about an appointment being missed. He adjusted to my schedule!! Mike is the absolute best! He is kind and polite and very patient with my stubborn Jack Russell Lucy. The Scout app is wonderful and brings with it a piece of mind when you are out of town . Having used several dog walkers in the past, Mike is the BEST!! It's so nice to go away on long vacations and not wonder if your dog walker showed up. With Mike, he sent me emails upon his arrival and departure on each designated visit, including pictures and a map of the walking route that was taken. Our Jax (chocolate lab) was still waiting for him at the door after we returned home. He was definitely spoiled with the attentive and loving care that Mike provided. Mike is truly running a fantastic service. We were blown away by his attention to detail when he recently took care of our Siamese cat Spyro over the week of July 4th. There were ample photos provided for every visit upon both arrival and leaving. In addition, Mike sent us a couple of very great videos of our boy.This was the first time we have left our cat alone for more than a night since we adopted him from the shelter a year ago, so our choice of sitter was very particular. When we met Mike with Bark Avenue, we knew we had our guy and didn't need to worry any longer. Mike truly goes above and beyond - he went out of his way to have a wood print made with a handwritten note welcoming us home! This is a great service. We have used other dog walking services but Mike and his team take this to a different level. The updates include pictures and commentary for the visit. You get a "course map" of where/distance that he walked the dog(s). It's just amazing. We were away for a week and after the first half day we didn't think about the dogs as they were in such great hands. The kids loved seeing the updates as they came in so they could see pictures and read about the adventures of "Mike & Our Dogs." It was my first time and was a little nervous about finding a pet-sitter to look after my cat when I took a vacation. I contacted the Bark Avenue because it was Top 5 the line pet sitting service in the area. Mike was AMAZING. He sent me early reply and very honest and explained detail about their service. The price was very reasonable. One you schedule an appointment online or on the phone, he contacts you to schedule a “meet and greet” consultation. My cat wasn’t the nicest, wired and picky. But Mike has been patient and accommodating with him. While we were away our vacation, Mike texted messages and pictures of my cat as he visited. Additionally he completed a “report card” full of note on with check in and out notice. Even over the term of my appointment, he asked me how was my cat after my vacation and concerned about him just like real family member. My family could not be more thankful to have found Bark Avenue Walks and Pet Sitting. From the very beginning when we reached out inquiring about their services, Bark Avenue Walks and Pet Sitting was extremely speedy and thorough in their responses and interactions. They are also very professional and courteous. And, they take amazing care of our furry family members. We were a bit hesitant to hire someone to walk/ pet sit our boys, Samson and Milo. Not just anyone can look after two 120+ pound dogs. They are big boys with big hearts and lots of energy when meetings new people. Our dogs have loved Mike from their first interaction. It made me feel very comfortable to see how our boys responded to Mike at the "meet and greet". We have used Bark Avenue Walks and Pet Sitting services serval times and could not be happier. Also, the app and emails are great! We received pictures and updates of our boys during the sessions. I always look forward to those. I highly recommend Bark Avenue Walks to anyone looking for a dog walker/sitter! I recently moved and needed a new dog walker for my Great Dane. I was nervous to find a new walker due to the fact that my dog is 130 pounds of energy (and love!). Mike was so flexible with his time and came over the very next day from my first email to meet my boy! They hit it off right away and Mike even took him for a “test walk” on his visit so I could show him the commands we use on our walks. Mike has gone above and beyond by helping to reinforce training methods during his walks, and now my sweet dog is no longer pulling on his leash. Top of the line pet sitting service in the area, hands down! We desperately needed a cat sitter over the long holiday week. We had tried getting a hold of a few other places prior and they were either booked or couldn't visit on the weekends. I reached out to them on their website via chat and they were quick to respond within minutes. Mike even stopped by on short notice to do a quick meet and greet. This definitely helped with giving us some peace of mind as I knew immediately our little guy was going to be in great hands! The app that they provide is easy to use and they are great with leaving notes, and pictures after each visit. We will certainly be using their services for future pet sits. 5 barks for Bark Avenue Walks and Pet Sitting! We just moved to the area and luckily we found Mike and his awesome crew to help out with our 8 year old American Eskimo Dog, Lily. Lily is our "special" child having been through a lot as a puppy before we rescued her...and despite her quirks, Jim and Mike have been super patient, accommodating and extremely professional. We know our doggy child is in good hands. Highly recommended! If you are thinking of leaving your pet home for a while.... look nowhere else... SERIOUSLY! Mike was amazing. His app provided a photo of my dog when the appointment started and a GPS tracker of his walk around my neighborhood. When the appointment ended, I got a bunch of photos and a few videos. It's obvious that he really likes dogs and I think he liked my little buddy. Mike took Romeo to the dog park, cleaned out his water bowl, and even varied his walk routes within my neighborhood. NOBODY else will ever do that. On top of this... I came home to a framed collection of photos he took of Romeo while I was gone. He is the closest thing to having me there that you can possibly get.
