Good god, this brunch was awesome. Came here on a recommendation from a North Portland local, not sure I would have discovered it otherwise because luckily it doesn't seem too popular yet. My husband and I both ordered mondo-mosas and eggs benedict. SO. GOOD! I'm partial to Olympia Provision's benny but Bad Habit Room has the best hollandaise everrrrr and eggs that are runny to perfection. Stop by Red E coffee around the corner if there's a wait! More...

Incredible service and hands down the best brunch I've had in Portland so far. My group and I split a Pop-tart of the day. I could have ordered 7 more of those delicious bundles of pure joy. The pastry was flaky and tender, the filling not overwhelmingly sweet, and the pop-tart was a perfect temperature. Not like biting into a hot fiery inferno after a round in the toaster like the good old days.I ordered the Eggs Blackstone for my meal and I can't find any words for how delicious it was. I ate every single bite. Was a little put off by the salad but the greenery was welcomed to balance the rich flavors from the rest of the dish.Absolutely nailed it. More...

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a loooong time. It's a very cool, brick building and I expected great things immediately after walking inside. It's a smaller space, we were there early and didn't have a wait, but I would image it can get crowded. We started off the with lemon pop tart, which was tasty but not mind blowing. I had the huevos rancheros and I know firmly believe that huevos rancheros should only ever be served on a piece of cornbread. So good. The side salad was fresh and lightly dressed, the perfect side to the huevos rancheros. I highly recommend getting a biscuit to have with their homemade jam. Next time I'm in Portland this place will be high on my list of places to go! More...

Rented Bad Habit Room for a birthday party. The events manager, Sabrina, was absolutely phenomenal. We researched a couple different venues around Portland, but BHR was the clear winner after seeing the space, tasting the food and meeting Sabrina. She gave me her mobile and was quick to reply to my texts with questions i had leading up to the party. She was super thoughtful, thorough, and you’ll end up wanting to invite her as a guest to your party. :). Amy, the bartender during our event, was fantastic and handled our 34-person group with impressive demeanor and professionalism. The party was a blast and I could not recommend BHR enough when planning your next celebration. More...

Bad Habit is a quirky brunch spot that looks like it was carved out of an old 1890's taproom. The wood floors and brick walls make for a cozy environment to grab a delicious brunch! The waits can be a little long, so the key is to head to the coffee shop attached through the small hallway on the right of the entrance, and let them know you're waiting for a table. They'll put your coffee in a glass and you can enjoy it with your meal once your table is ready. I had the croque madame which comes with a little house salad. The ham and egg were perfectly done, but the bread could benefit from being a bit softer so the knife passes through easily and the bites are easier to construct. Otherwise, it was a delicious dish! Service was fabulous. Food was great too. We had brunch. We shared the homemade pop tart which should not be missed. My only critique is that I prefer a medium poach on my eggs and they were super soft. U would recommend that you let your server know how well you like your eggs done. Also, it was very noisy. It was hard for us to talk, but outside seating might have worked better to talk. All in all, I give this 4.5 stars. More...

This is now one of my new favorite brunch spots. Â It's a bit out of city center but worth it for it's a lesser wait than most popular Portland brunch spots. Â Also if you has to wait there's an amazing coffee shop, Red E, to lounge and get your morning cup while you wait. The space allows for group though it can get loud as the sound bounces.Love that they have a different pop tart choice each time I come! The Bloody Mary also looks seriously legit!Their egg Benedict's are cooked to perfection and the portions are just right. The Bad Habit Room just made our offsite AWP poetry and prose reading the best event ever. Â Sabrina was super helpful, the food was delicious and it was a perfect event space. Â With our situation, we purchased what was thought to be food for fifty people, but way over-ordered (also more than 50 came). Â A ton of food was wasted, which really bummed us out. Â The site is just gorgeous, the bathroom is clean, the staff are super nice. Â I would suggest this venue for anyone for any event. Â Excellent. More...

Worth a try! So glad I came across this adorable brunch spot on Yelp. If you're visiting Portland, I wouldn't put it at the top of your list (It's small, quaint and tucked away), but if you have the time, you won't be disappointed. I had the huevos rancheros. This spot is good. Kind of tucked away but friendly people. They have a community like seating/bench for bigger parties but also has stand alone tables. They also make in-house pop tarts! Which I didn't try sadly. Maybe next time. For drinks we got Bloody Mary's. For food I got the Korean breakfast which was delicious. The right amount of food I tell ya and it hit the spot. The rice coulda been cooked differently (my personal preference) but maybe that's just their style. I didn't mind too much because I still killed it! The lady got the eggs black stone Benedict and that had a interestingly yummy flavor. I think it was the jam...but overall it was a delicious dish. Regardless, it was a nice visit with tasty food and good service. We will drop by again in the future. More...

Found this little gem in North Portland, and was not disappointed! Â Started out with the Pop-tart and rounded things out with the corned beef hash. Â Service was good and food was flavorful. Â i don't recall what we ordered from the drink menu, but I remember that nothing they did that day was wrong. Â Like many Portland establishments, you could tell that this place also used local ingredients and never compromised on freshness. Â As a little bonus, I thoroughly enjoyed the decor and the overall vibe of the restaurant. Â I will definitely be back and so should you!! More...
