Christian is an amazing chef! Not only that, he's a very nice and genuine person. Upon meeting him to get a quote to cater our wedding, my husband and I both knew right off the bat that we wanted him to cater, even without a tasting. On the day of the wedding, we were so happy that we chose to go with him. Not only was the food beyond delicious, he cooked it all during the recent PG&E power outage! Talk about a true professional! We attended the Widder's Ball in Anderson this past Saturday and the food was catered by Bachman's Wholesome Catering Co. It was without a doubt the BEST foot and presentation I have ever had the pleasure of indulging in in the 30+ years I have been attending Widder's Balls all over CA . I hired Bachman's to cater a corporate luncheon and Christian knocked it out the park! Â Awesome tri-tip and chicken along with great sides. Â My boss was quite pleased and I received many compliments from co-workers. Â Communication was easy and Christian was very helpful with planning the menu. Christian did a phenomenal job catering our wedding despite some power limitations at our venue. He arrived mid-day to begin grilling the meats and veggies, and I learned later on that he and his team were instrumental in saving our cocktail hour food displays which mistakenly had not been prepared before he arrived. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and they even helped us collect all food scraps and waste for us to compost after the wedding. Would highly recommend Christian for any of your catering needs. His food was amazing and everyone is still talking about it. The best thing was it wasn't your same old menu for a backyard bbq and was fresh and delicious. He was friendly and interacted with the guests. I've used Christian twice now and both times I have been completely amazed. We specifically requested organic meats, and he accommodated our requests, no problem. Best Caterer I've found in Redding in 20 years! We hired Christian for our office Christmas party at our home and it was beyond belief. His charcuterie assortment was the best I've ever seen (and tasted). What’s your signature dish?
Although I prefer not to paint myself into a corner here, I would say that we provide exceptional charcuterie and cheese plates. I source local meets, imported cheeses, and pair them with my scratch-made pickles, house-dried fruits, house-made mustard, and nut medleys.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We start with your needs. Quantity, Quality, Budget. From there we inquire about some of your favorite foods, or your vision for the table that will be set for your guests. We love making memorable occasions.
What do you love most about your job?
Working in the kitchen has humble roots. Servants of the castle were some of the original, formal, chefs. We believe that servitude and excellent hospitality go hand in hand. Of course I love my food, but the best moments in life are shared across a dining room table, and we love making that happen.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being a Shasta County local, I got the best training available to me when I left highschool to begin an internship with a successful local chef. It set me up on a path, that allowed me to hone my skills and build my knowledge at an extended rate. I traveled to the wine country, and cooked in farm-to-table environments there. It was a marvelous experience. I came back home after a time, and had difficulty finding work that validated my passion for quality and hospitality, and decided to open up my own catering company. We never stop learning, getting better, enjoying, tasting.
