Jason, Scott, and the entire staff at Awakening are tremendous at what they do. They have created an atmosphere that is non-judgmental, welcoming, and caring. That environment allowed me to explore the reasons why I drank and used and they gave me the tools that empowered me to be someone that no longer needs or wants to drink or use. Recovery is a two way street, it takes both you and your counselor. If you have the tiniest bit of willingness to explore sobriety and recovery, they have created a place that fosters further growth. Scott was my therapist when I was a patient at Riversource, I never thought I would do well with a male therapist but out of all my numerous counselor/therapists he has by far made the biggest impact on my life and my sobriety. When Scott decided to open his own practice I continued to see him when I got out of treatment, he has played a huge part in the changes that I've made and I'm forever grateful!
