Q&As

The connection between subject and the photographer cannot be overlooked. Those amazing portraits in a photographer's portfolio are likely a result of that connection, as seen through the lens. Often times, people search for "a photographer". True magic can happen when you find "the photographer" or "my photographer", someone who can bring out your best. Someone who is interested in learning more about you not only before the session, but throughout it as well.

What are some words that might describe what you would like people to think and feel when they look at the photos?
Have you had professional photos previously? What went really good? What would you like differently?
Do you have any concerns about having photos taken?
Are there features that you would like to emphasize? Any you would like to minimize or make less apparent?

I love how meaningful photographs are, especially portraits. Each moment in time can never be recreated and photos are a way to preserve that for generations, as corny as that sounds, it's true. To think of something the kids made when they were little is great, seeing a photo of them making it - with a glowing smile - is almost unbeatable, in my opinion. This job allows me to make that possible for people and I love that.

Adaptive, creative and professionalism are a few words that I would use to describe myself. I approach photo shoots with a strategy and shot list, but I intentionally look for any unexpected moments and unique photo opportunities that may arise. To use a road trip analogy, I am a person who would say "That looks neat, what's that?". If time permits, I'll explore it, if not, I'll continue on to the destination. We will get to the destination we set out for. But if we can see and experience something great and unexpected along the way, I love that.

I bring a professional studio to your location of choice and do all photo shoots on-location. I do not wish to carry overhead expenses of a studio, at this time. This allows me to the freedom to work for clients virtually anywhere in the world.

I have always been germ-aware. My kitchen contains over 12 pairs of tongs so as to ensure cross-contamination never happens while cooking. This contact-trail and proximity awareness is brought to each interaction.
