We planned a wedding in our home state of NC all the way from PA. I researched and interviewed a few in the area and found that Atlantic Premier had an easy way to chat with them. I sent them interview questions and found that Eric was so easy to communicate with and answered my questions right away and with detail. I loved that! I also thought they had competitive pricing. Our wedding was at the Overlook in North Topsail on 11/15/19 and the week of we found out John would be our DJ. He called us and we had a pretty long conversation going through what we wanted to happen in the reception. It was very easy going discussing with him our vision and our most important things that we were looking for in the reception and the music and how we wanted the guests to be like. I am a control freak so I had a set itinerary with time slots for what we planned but he was so good at helping us making it better with the right flow and all that. Well, nothing goes as planned and John was really good at anticipating what to change up throughout the reception and kept Raf and I informed. Honestly he was really amazing. He was easy to work with, easy to communicate with, so flexible, very accommodating, easily adjusts, can hold an umbrella for the couple as they secretly walk to the top floor outside, can even help get the cake cutting started for the couple, and is an amazing DJ. I could not have asked for a better night! From set up to tare down everything went so smooth. We got married on the beach and the music and sound was perfect! Our officiant loved having a wireless mic and John even captured some good photos for us. Eric was absolutely amazing! We had our wedding ceremony on the beach. Eric had everything set up perfectly. Music was able to be heard, and you could even hear our officiant and our vows to each other with no wind in the background. The reception couldn't of been topped! There was never a moment where people were not on the dance floor. Eric kept the party going, and was even able to play some African music requested by my husband's side of the family. I cannot express how much fun our family and friends had!!!! Eric was great to work with! We were traveling from out of town for our wedding and he was extremely flexible with meeting with us after hours and on weekends. He's very friendly and personable and got the job done! Many of our guests don't take orders well and it could be like herding cats with them. Eric herds cats like a pro! He got them to do what we needed them to do while being professional and not at all pushy. We were lucky in that our venue contract included the music for the ceremony and reception, provided by Atlantic Premier Entertainment. Eric was our contact from the beginning and he was very responsive. We started building out our song requests with the log in they provided, and it was super easy to use. We had John as our DJ and he was excellent! He played the exact style and tastes of music for our wedding!
The beginning of our reception were more oldies and perfect for our older & middle aged crowd!
Also playing songs that children will enjoy and the more conservative side would enjoy!
After we had most of the families leave the reception for the night, after having a blast dancing, john began to play club music so our younger crowd would have a great time!

My husband and I had John as our DJ for our wedding and he was awesome! He braved the heat and played our music perfectly at our ceremony, which we really appreciated considering our song choices were very specific and obscure. At our reception, he kept everyone on the dance floor all night long, which helped make our wedding so much fun and unforgettable amongst our family & friends. My husband, our guests and I all felt that we had the time of our lives thanks to John and the "soundtrack" he provided for our wedding. The only constructive feedback we received from guests was in regards to the dancing portion of the reception, as they felt that guests could have been "hyped up" more to get on the dance floor at first. The only other improvements that my husband and I feel could be made are in terms of electronic communication and in the utilization of the song requests list. I noticed during the planning process that there seemed to be issues with my emails being sent to Eric, as they did not seem to go through properly unless I sent a message through the website versus through regular email. With initiating contact via their website, I found that Eric was very quick in terms of his responsiveness and it transferred seamlessly to my email. In addition, my husband and I were surprised that some songs weren't played from our "Must Play" list, although this could have been attributed to time constraints. I relied heavily on reviews to pick my vendors. After speaking to Eric, he made me feel very confident that he was the perfect fit. His online planner helped me keep my songs organized and kept open communication. I have been in nursing school and it has taken a while for me to write this review but I couldn't let it go- ERIC IS THAT GOOD! I felt that need to let other brides know that he is an excellent choice. Eric can accommodate your every needs- want a DJ with personality that is willing to dance on the floor and get the party started? you got it! Want a DJ that is more behind the scenes and willing to take requests last minute from the bride? he's it:) My venue wasn't an easy set up either- my ceremony was outside on top of a mountain, then my reception was at the ground of that mountain with an outside cocktail hour on the first floor and the reception another floor up. No complaints with Eric- he handled it with ease and I didn't once have to even worry or check in to make sure it was going smoothly. Eric kept me up-to-date throughout the whole wedding, giving me warning signals of when the bridal toss, garter dance etc. was about to start and even added a surprise anniversary dance for my parents and my husbands parents that I requested. Our DJ was fantastic. As my side of the family is from the Caribbean there was concern about finding a DJ well versed in reggae and soca and the subculture mix of Caribbean and African american families. They did not disappoint, they were familiar and did additional research. My husbands grandfather commented affectionately " I thought the DJ was a brotha". We danced all night and we had a great time. Flexibility was great cause nothing went according to plan and we had to move things around. Only reason its not 5 out of 5 is some songs couldn't be downloaded quickly onsite but they has more than what we needed. Full disclosure: I have worked with Eric in the wedding world for the last 4 years. I have recommended him to countless brides, and he NEVER dissipoints.
I even asked him to drive up to Raleigh for our wedding, because I truly couldn't see anyone comparing to his quality.
When it came to booking my own wedding- I couldn't think of anyone else to being the party- and lord have mercy did he ever! Eric was perfect. Keeping people on the dance floor all night long- and even jumping in and having fun with us. He is so professional and responds to questions quickly. What makes photo booths such a great alternative to traditional photographers?
I definitely wouldn't say it is alternative to your photographer but it will capture all of the crazy fun moments that the photographer just can't reproduce! The props, the people, they just make for a good time and your photographer will br trying to get all of the formal moments.
What photo booth props do you offer?
They are all high quality theatrical, themed props. Wedding themed, and lots of fun!
What do you love most about your job?
Everything! I love to make people happy. I love reading a crowd and getting people to dance. I love music of all types and being able to get paid for playing good music is just the best!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I knew there were better ways to do things. I wanted to provide a customer experience that was above and beyond what anyone else offers and now i do!
Photo Booth
Photographers are AMAZING! Their ability to capture your event in such a way that allows you to relive it is a talent that just can’t be taught. You booked one. If you would like to offer a print option for them, we can do that too! The large assortment of premium props we provide encourage fun and the attendant on duty ensures no technical issues crop up to lessen the amount of time your photo booth can be utilized. Every photo booth gets customized to the event. Cool splash pages that can have customized themes as well as print options that can add a touch of elegance or whimsey to you and tour guests experience. You can choose from one of our existing backdrops or go so far as to have us provide you with a custom back drop! Here’s the best part….you get to see it all. Using the latest in professional sound equipment, we arrive at least an hour early to set up for your event order to be completely ready when your guests arrive. Will work directly with you to provide music that not only compliments your event but entertains you and your guests on a level you couldn’t imagine possible! Our combination of procured music along with special one-off mixes will keep you and your guests tearing’ up the dance floor all night long! Our DJ’s are also experienced MC’s that will follow your painstakingly formed timeline to the letter and be flexible enough to any last minute changes you may want to make along the way.
