About

At Your Best Fitness is a company I started during the pandemic which is a live online cardio workout through the use of Zoom. Most adults either do not have time to go to a gym or do not feel comfortable at a gym. My online workouts are a way all adults can train from the comfort of their own home with a certified trainer while feeling a sense of community (which you do not get from watching a pre recorded workout video).

Definitely the best decision I made training with Vern Williams. He has a great attitude and his workout training is super effective. I came looking to tone my body and that has been achieved in the space of 2 months. I heard about At Your Best Fitness through a family member. I don't like going to the gym but I kept telling myself I really need to workout. I contacted the trainer and during our conversation I felt motivated to give it a try.

I was sent the link through my email and logging on was easy. I enjoyed the workout because it was a live workout and not just a tape. The trainer personally welcomed me to the workout when I logged on and I felt like I was part of a team. I didn't need any equipment and when it was over I felt like I had a really good workout.

Q&As

First I listen to what your needs are. I find out what you want to improve, what techniques you have tried in the past, why you feel it did or did not work, and most importantly what is your motivation behind the desire to make changes now. Once I get to know you better we can come up with a game plan on how to achieve these goals.

As children we are taught to eat fruits and vegetables and exercise daily. Pretty much all adults know this so knowledge isn't the issue. The issue is usually time management and the desire to eat healthy and exercise. The easy way to live is known as "The Western Diet" which consist of fast food, high calories, lots of salt and sugar, very little exercise, and most importantly it is very cost effective aka cheap. Our bodies tell us this isn't healthy but it's easy. The key is to find a balance where you eat healthy while at the same time still enjoy foods that you like.

I love the fact that I am helping others. I have seen a lot of friends and family deal with medical issues due to being overweight or obese and living a sedative lifestyle. I've witnessed loved ones have to take numerous medications due to their weight, and I've seen people deal with depression because they are not happy with who they see in the mirror. The reason I love my job is because I have had people tell me they have been able to stop certain medications due to a decrease in weight. I teach everyone to be happy with yourself and acknowledge your accomplishments. You will not have the body you want over night, but you will first notice you don't get tired as fast, you are sleeping better, and overall you are feeling healthier. The outer appearance will follow.

One day I decided that I was going to study to be a trainer because I wanted to know how to properly get myself into shape. I noticed that all the trainers appeared to be in good shape and I was tired of going to the gym, working out, and not seeing results. Once I educated myself I saw that the average adult was just as confused as I was. I then learned that I needed to get certified as a nutritionist because diet and exercise have to go hand and hand. I started my own business so that I could share my knowledge with others, help others reach their goals, while at the same time making it affordable for everyone.

Clients should choose me because I give realistic expectations. I'm not going to lie to you and give you a false sense of hope because if the expectations are not met then the average adult gives up and returns to their comfortable lifestyle. I let you know what you need to do in order to get minimum results and what you need to do in order to get maximum results. I don't judge and I'm fine with whatever you choose to do. My goal is not to make you look like a super model or body builder (I will assist you in reaching that goal if it is indeed your goal) but my goal is for you to be healthy and happy with who you see in the mirror.

Even though I have a gym that is located in Garden Grove, CA my main focus is training adults online because I can reach more people this way. I am able to train you and it does not matter if you are in a different city, state, or country.

The way it works is you send an email to AtYourBestFitness2020@gmail.com and let me know that you are interested in online training. I will send you a workout so that you can try it and if you feel it is beneficial then I will email you the Zoom link and we can start working out together immediately. I have classes in the evening Monday - Friday.

Prior to Covid-19 I trained clients exclusively at the gym. When everything shut down I developed a workout that could be done online so my clients could continue to workout while at home. The plan was to only do it until everything reopened but I ended up gaining clients that lived in different states. Once gyms reopened I didn't want to stop training anyone who wanted my help so the online training has continued.

As far as the gym, California gave guidelines on how to properly check peoples temperatures and sanitize the area. I am only allowed to have a certain percentage of people inside the gym so I ensure social distancing by only allowing those in who have scheduled an appointment, equipment is wiped down before and after each use, and temperatures are taken prior to anyone entering the facility.

With the use of Zoom you will receive an email with the link. At the time of the workout you will join a certified trainer along with others who are ready to workout from the comfort of their own homes.

The workouts have been designed to help you lose weight, tone, and most importantly help with heart health.

Located inside The Map Sports Facility in Garden Grove, Top Notch Training focuses on helping athletes from the ages of 9-21 perform at their best.

We offer group and private sessions where we help improve on explosiveness, agility, footwork, core strength training, vertical jump, and more. We utilize ladder drills, bands, The Vertimax, The Supercat, and Real Runner just to name a few.

The training has been designed to help every athlete regardless of what sport they play.
