We are very pleased with the services given to my cat Tita. Tita is 18 yrs old and the stress would literary kill her if I had to take her to a vet's office. I've been with Dr. Blount for approximately 11 years now and find her to be the best vet I've ever encountered. She is a true life saver, she comes to the house for my pets, but especially for the cats. Cats are very nervous and I try to do what's best for them. Her coming to the house for the cats has, I believe, extended the lives of my cats. I've got one cat that is almost 18 years old. I've also got a pug that absolutely loves to come to her office and stays in the play care while getting a perk up and a mani-peni. He comes home exhausted, but very happy. More...

Normally don't write reviews but after seeing some of these I had to write. Met Dr. Blount years ago when I had a cat that developed kidney cancer. I found her to be the most compassionate vet I had ever met and use her for all my pet care needs. The fact that they will come to your home to care for your pets fills a much needed vacancy in this town. The stress caused to my pets when I had to put them in a carrier and drive to the vet was so unnecessary. Don't have to worry about that now and the extra cost is well worth it. More...

For the past six months, I’ve been taking my puppy, Lily, to AHVC for Playcare (doggie daycare) and Staycare (overnight boarding). Lily LOVES it! In the morning, she’ll jump around and pull on my clothes until we’re in the car on the way there. Lily is always excited to see the staff and they treat her like family. The AHVC agility field and pool are some of the best facilities I’ve seen for dog activities. Lily is always much calmer after Playcare because she’s had time to burn off her puppy energy and socialize with other dogs. This helps keep Lily out of trouble at home and allows me to do tasks around the house without constantly supervising her. We’ve also really enjoyed some of the special parties AHVC hosts, such as an Easter party with bunny photos and an egg hunt. Occasionally, Lily does come home with minor scratches on her legs, but I think that is probably to be expected with how rough she plays. There was one incident where another dog scratched the inside of Lily’s ear pinna, but AHVC stitched and bandaged it at no cost. It makes me feel better that there are veterinary staff on site in case an accident happens. Overall, I’ve been very happy with the Playcare and Staycare services at AHVC and anticipate continuing to take Lily there in the foreseeable future. More...

Professionalism & Care surpassed my expectations.I reached out to Dr. Blount's clinic long distance, to ask her to care for my mother's pet at her local senior living facility. She followed up with the utmost care and professionalism. Our dogs LOVE playcare. Their facility is better than any in town complete with a heated water park! Their extended hours are perfect for long days while I’m at work and the pups are always exhausted when they get home. Not only do they get social interaction with other dogs while burning their puppy energy, the playcare also offers training according to the package you purchased which is a win win! We take both of dogs here often for play care, be it for the day or while on vacation. We have never had any issues and the dogs always have a good time. I have actually watched my dogs playing in the field when I go to pick them up and all of the dogs seem to be having a blast and getting plenty of attention from the trainers. We also decided to start using their vetrinary services for all of our animals and have been very happy so far.
