We worked with Jim for our wedding video, and he did an excellent job from beginning to end.  For something so special as this, we wanted to be sure we hired somebody that we could trust, and that was open to the particular style that we wanted to accomplish.  Jim was very responsive to our initial inquiry, and made sure to set up time where we could meet or facetime to discuss our vision.  We were happy to learn that Jim had tons of experience in wedding videography.  He answered all of our questions, and also gave us ideas and insights as to how other brides and grooms have set up their videos.  He was a terrific listener and took to heart our preferences.  He communicated with us regularly before the wedding, and on the wedding day showed up right on time to kick things off.  He was not intrusive at all and fit right into the flow of the day.  The shots he was able to get as a one-man show were terrific you'd think he had a whole team with him!!  He captured the beauty of the day, the venue, the feelings before, during and after the ceremony, the guests,  the fun, everything!!!  We were extra appreciative that our wedding had an unexpected delay before the reception, and Jim stuck around like a trooper and didn't miss a beat. We were so pleased watching the final video, that this is something we will treasure for the rest of our lives.  Talk about great value.  As somebody unfamilar with videography, I felt nervous about picking the right vendor, but feel very lucky that we stumbled across Jim.  Highly recommend! I had Jim at Ascension create quick clips of video of my vendors at my corporate meeting. He was so cooperative and a pleasure to work with.  He has the patience of a saint!  I received my videos which were completed  and edited with professionalism very soon after the event.  all requests for changes were done in a very short time frame and with a smile on his face.  I would highly recommend Ascension Video for all of your professional and personal needs! Jim was the videographer for my wedding, I just got the final product and it's amazing! He was very easy to work with and very flexible. He accommodated my budget, which I appreciate. He joined the girls in the hotel while we were getting ready and then followed us to the venue. He stayed mostly hidden during the day, so he got a lot of natural footage instead of people playing to the camera. Our wedding was very long and he came up with some options to capture us leaving even though he couldn't stay that long. In the end, he gave us a small 8 minute video, a bigger 1 hour video, and the raw footage. He let us pick out the songs we wanted in our videos and used photos from our photographer to make excellent DVD displays for us. I highly recommend him for any wedding! More...

After seeing how good our wedding movie was, we then asked Jim and his team to make a shorter, 10-min long video of our wedding day. We received it in almost no time at all and actually tucked it away to surprise ourselves with it later. Our 1 year anniversary just passed and we were treated to our "newer" video and we were so  pleased with the way it turned out... he really captured all the highlights and beautiful moments that I cherish about our special day.
