I have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff at Argentum! I started going to them somewhat reluctantly when they were still at their old location, and was hesitant, as the prices seemed high. However, it really is true that you get what you pay for; their prints are truly the best quality in town, and worth every penny!I have had trouble in the past ordering via their website, and I tend to appreciate talking to a person (at the bank, etc.), rather than have the entire experience be online (from start to finish, as Argentum has been implementing for some time now)... and they've always been quick to respond to my emails with concerns, and to accommodate my needs, like okay-ing proofs of reorders via online photos sent by email, rather than physically drive to  them to do so. Also, they are always so friendly and helpful over the phone! These guys and gals are just nice people that do really good work. They will take the time to talk about what you need and what you don't need. But the other night they hosted a seminar on Social Media for I guess about 100 people. I understand with technology progressing the way it is. There could be an inclination for some to skirt some cost thus affecting Argentum. They know that but they still got involved with helping people understand what Social Media can do at a certain risk to their bottom line. It was very very informative. The speaker, Ryan, well known in this area was great. The people there asked good questions. I walked away knowing something but that added up to very little in the big picture. But that was a beginning course. " An overview of how it can help you" and I took away the notes I made placed it in a Microsoft Notebook with pictures, And my day was made. Argentum is great for actor services! Like headshots, post cards, websites, etc... The majority of my experience with Argentum has been on their "hot sets" this is a service they offer to help actors get footage for their reels. Argentum sets up a set, and then shoots the actors in the scene. They use professional quality cameras, sound equipment, editing, color grading, etc... They also film on multiple cameras so that once edited the clip looks professional, and most importantly looks like something that could actually be seen on film, or television. Argentum also uses professional actors as your scene partners, and the actors will also work with you to make sure that you're getting the best performance possible! They're also happy to let you bring your own scene partner.The guys that run the "hot sets" are great as well. They're extremely helpful, and really work hard to make sure that every scene turns well. They're also just cool guys. I know that might sound silly, but when you're spending time with people it helps that they're nice. The price is reasonable for the service being offered, and the quality is high. For anyone looking to add some footage to their reel I would definitely recommend Argentum. I'd recommend them for other actor services as well. More...

I love this for place ! And all the people that work there ... I used to dread when I would get a self-tape from my agent , but now I actually look forward to it because I know Argentum is gonna help me get an amazing looking tape to send in . . I still of course have to do my part but as far as worrying about lighting and sound .. they take care of all of that. The staff also shows that they really care about you and want to make sure you are happy with your outcome ! Ajay and Stacey host amazing free seminars for actors. I've attended sessions covering everything from voiceover to cold reading to tax preparation. They bring in industry veterans who really know their ish. Did I mention these seminars are FREE? I use the casting suite. I like to go here because of Lauren.  She is excellent.  It is very difficult to find her unique balance of skill and generosity.  When working on your audition, she never gives you a sense of judgment; she allows you to work.  She is also great in giving you feedback (if you want it), or she is really intuitive about just giving you space, when you need it.  Essentially she is great, because she really makes the process about you.  If you need a helping hand, she is quite skilled, and willing to help, but if not, she allows you the space and energy you need in order to focus.  These things may sound simple; but when you are in a vulnerable postion, as auditions are quite vulnerable, it's great to have someone as intuitive as her in the room with you. Argentum is a full-service photo lab. When I say full-service, I mean above and beyond a typical photo lab. Not only do they do high quality reproductions (which I highly recommend), but they offer casting suites for self-taping, and "hot sets" for throwing down some material for your reel. I also believe they do headshot photography as well. They also host free, informative seminars on a wide variety of subjects. I recently attended the John Dapolito "Acting-Niche" seminar which was absolutely brilliant. If you're an actor and you need headshots, check Ajay. His work is absolutely incredible. If you don't live in Los Angeles, it's worth the trip every couple of years to shoot with him. Ajay has a way of making several different characters (looks) in one session. Plus, he's so much fun to work with. I filmed 3 Hot Sets at Argentum with Nathan & the team. Not only are my reps incredibly happy, but those reels get in me in so much with casting. Quality is top notch HD, price point is reasonable, and you get your reel within a week. Working with them is easy, they are fast & efficient....they get the job done! I go to them 3-4x a week for Casting Suite for my self tape auditions. Ryan & Lauren are great readers/actors and it helps my performance - especially when you need your scene partner for reaction moments. I use Argentums casting suite for all my self tape auditions now. I used to hate having to do them myself, but ever since I discovered this place I actually prefer them. The staff is always friendly, the readers are good at giving you something more to feed off of in your read, as opposed to just saying the lead in lines. I think it's well worth the price, and unless you have 12+ pages of sides and need more than 1 or 2 takes, 10 minutes is usually enough time. The lighting, picture, and sound quality of the tapes looks great and they send them out pretty quickly. Just make sure you show up on time because they do not mess around with those time slots!
