What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Photography is equal parts a creative and technical process, both of which I love. You have to be knowledgable about composition, lighting, camera settings, etc., but none of that matters without the creative aspect! The trick for me was to practice the technical parts over and over until I don't have to think about them anymore, and I can focus on creativity and taking the best photo possible.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the collaboration between myself and my clients. That can be as simple as them showing me photos they like and want to try to replicate, or coming up with different ideas while we're on a shoot, or even if I show them the back of my camera and there's something they don't like about what I've done. It's my job to make sure you get what you want and the best results possible! The look on their faces when they see something they love makes me so happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Photography is something I've always been so passionate about. Other hobbies have come and gone, but this one has stuck with me since I was a teenager, so over half my life! Taking my hobby and making it my profession was a no-brainer. I love this work and hope I can do it for as long as possible.
Why should our clients choose you?
I love being a resource for couples for their wedding day. There are a lot of decisions to make, like should you do first look pictures? How long should you take to do photos after the ceremony? What time of day is best for lighting? Wedding days can be stressful, so if I can be one part of it that my clients don't have to worry about, I'm happy! I'm there to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
It's hard to do photography remotely! What I do offer is an online gallery after the photos are done, so you'll have easy access to them from wherever you are, to download or even order prints straight from the gallery.
Wedding Photography
Please allow up to four weeks after wedding for processing. A 25% nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding day.
All weddings include:
-Full day coverage up to 8 hours
-Four watermarked photos uploaded to Facebook within 24 hours
-A copyright release for printing
-Online gallery with optional password protection for easy access, viewing, and download
-Your choice of an engagement or bridal session
Portrait Session
Includes up to two hours of shooting with as many location and wardrobe changes as you'd like, an online photo gallery with the option of purchasing prints or downloads of photos, and 4 watermarked Facebook photos uploaded with 24 hours
