What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is always the relationship between the client and the photographer. Too often, clients look at images from their portrait sessions and say things like "I look so stiff" or "this doesn't look like me". That's typically a result of a lack of connection and communication between the client and the photographer; if the relationship is strong between them, then the photographer will be able to capture the essence of the client far more clearly, leading to more relaxed, authentic portraits overall.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
"Tell me a little about yourself."
"How can I best capture your event or portraits?"
"What kind of portraiture do you prefer - professional posed or casual candid?"
"How would you prefer to keep these memories for years to come? (Physically and/or Digitally?)"
What do you love most about your job?
I love getting to know my clients and capturing what makes them unique individuals, no matter how they are being photographed. Their happiness is my ultimate goal, in any situation.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have long loved the art of photography, and finally got up the courage to begin my own business and fulfill my dream of working one-on-one with clients to generate quality memories and images for them.
