Ananda is a fabulous photographer. She is ridiculously talented and is so accommodating as well. If you're in the market for a wedding photographer, give her a call. My mom and I were directed to her after purchasing a wedding gown in Alameda and the wedding shop recommended her. She was so professional and polite on the phone and that certainly continues through to her photography. After we got our engagement photos back I was so pleased! I can't say enough good things about Ananda or her work. Â Ananda shot both our engagement and wedding photos.From the start, Ananda was easy to work with and put us at ease. Â While taking formal photos, she took the time to explain the behaviors we had that would result in unflattering pictures and helped us correct them. Â Her attention to detail is outstanding. Â In her brief period of exploration of our venue before the wedding, she managed to find areas to shoot in that I hadn't discovered after spending the full weekend there. Â I love her use of light, color, and creativity as well as her willingness to go the extra mile to get those outstanding shots, even if if meant crawling through a fence while pregnant to walk across a field dodging cow patties. Â Beyond all of that, Ananda and second shooter, Kevallyn, did an amazing job capturing the emotion of the day. Â We had a very small, intimate wedding, so I was a little concerned about having two photographers there. Â Ananda and Kevallyn were unobtrusive and captured so many emotional moments both of us and all of our guests. Â I was thrilled when we got our photos back to realize that we had excellent shots of all of our guests (granted, that's likely only possible with a small wedding) and happily surprised to see how many were caught teary eyed or giving hugs to people.Throughout the planning process, Ananda was quick to respond to my questions, providing help on timeline, lighting, and outfit questions. Â Her turn around time on images is excellent (knowing we'd be out of the country for a while, our sneak peek was up before we had gone to bed after the wedding!). Working with Ananda was amazing. Â She did our engagement photo shoot and made us feel at ease -- all-the-while making sure that we were smiley and happy looking (instead of my usual b*tchy resting face). Â I noticed that she focused a lot on the natural lighting. Â The photos turned out fantastic. Ananda recently did the photography at our wedding and she was absolutely fabulous! (She also did our engagement photos, which were amazing as well! ) We recently got the photos back and she took some truly unbelievable shots and did a wonderful job of capturing my husband and my personalities as well as the tone of our wedding. I had the great pleasure of working with Ananda with Bliss Photography in September 2012. I was working as a wedding event coordinator at a very remote site in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Both Ananda and the other professionals on her team were excellent. They wanted every detail to be perfect, and you could tell they worked hard to achieve this for every shot. They were very professional, friendly, and on top of their game at all times.I have yet to see all the photos from the event, but I have complete faith that they will all be spectacular! Ananda is Amazing. I had the pleasure of working with her twice: first at my wedding (she was the 2nd photographer, then for a styled bridal photo shoot. She is very professional. Super sweet. And works well under stress. (I was sort of a bridezilla)Ananda is extremely quick with her editing! She has a great turn around time, which I love! My husband and I first met Ananda for a photo session as, newlyweds. I met Ananda a week earlier over coffee with my mother to get to know her, as she wanted to have an idea of what we were looking for with our session. She was very professional, giving us plenty of ideas and examples of her previous work, giving us a feel and idea of what we may be looking for during our own session. She suggested the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, Ca which ended up being an absolutely beautiful place with many areas to work with. Toward the end of the session we migrated down to the marina which had some very breathtaking views. It was an unexpectedly windy day, but Ananda worked very hard at capturing some of the best shots of my husband and myself. I, as well as another client, were also granted with an opportunity to work with Ananda again for a redwood bridal photoshoot. I recently reviewed the photos she captured and they are beyond beautiful. The moments, lightening and scenery she is able to capture in her work are outstanding and most definitely one of a kind. She is always coming up with great ideas in all of her sessions to create true art through photography. I highly, with out a doubt, would recommend Ananda Shorey from Bliss Fotography to anyone looking for high quality pictures and an easy going photographer. We were fortunate enough to have Ananda photograph our wedding. Â We were really impressed that she wanted to met with us and take some preliminary photos at our house so that we could get comfortable with each other and discuss the kind of look and vibe we wanted for the big day. I have nothing but great things to say about Ananda! I am pregnant with twins and just had my pregnancy photo shoot. I am on bed rest which I thought would make the shoot very difficult but Ananda was able to work with my restrictions and make me feel very comfortable. She gave great direction and had creative ideas to get the best shots.I LOVE the pictures! My fiance and I met Ananda for our engagement shoot this past weekend in SF. Even with the crazy traffic around Golden Gate Park, Ananda was there to meet us at the Japanese Tea Garden 10 minutes early. She was so awesome and fun to work with! It was our first time doing a formal shoot, and it really helped that she made us feel comfortable and offered great direction/suggestions on where and how to pose. Bliss is a great name for Ananda's business, because that's how the photo shoot of my three toddlers went - blissfully!It is so difficult to capture the personality of one child, let alone three at a time and she did so well with them. My kids loved her and had such a great time playing while she took candids of them at a local park. Her work was better than I expected, with shots that capture the essence of each of my children and their different personalities. Along with the many faces of each child, she added many artistic touches with photos of the baby's pudgy hands and my 3-year-old daughter's toe-tapping Mary Janes. We love the photos and loved working with Ananda. We will definitely turn to Ananda as our family photographer. Ananda was our wedding photographer in September and did a great job. She was totally professional, and was able to corral all the family and friends that were wandering 50 different places at once for some great group pictures. The bride/groom pictures and the pictures of the wedding party were also well-done, with everyone's personality showing through.
