AML Leon Construction

We interviewed many contractors for our home addition which was to include a bedroom, a bathroom, and living space, and decided on AML Leon Construction due to his willingness to work with our budget and our input. The project began on time and Fermin's guys were always polite, happy, respectful, clean, and trustworthy. The project ran smoothly with a few variances here and there that were dealt with professionally. We did a couple of add ons during the project which included a concrete patio area outside the addition with slopes and drains for proper drainage. Fermin and his team were a delight to work with from start to finish. They were very cautious of the fact that we have many pets that needed to be kept inside and let us know in advance when they would need access to where the animals were. All city inspections were completed in a timely way and we had no problems with any of them. The workmanship Fermin and his team executed on our home and property is fantastic and everything looks better than we had envisioned. We have been working with Fermin and his crew first as a sub-contractor and recently as the prime contractor for additional work. Needless to say, the professional attitude, communication and dedication to doing the best job possible of Fermin and his team is GREAT!  The work and detail of the work itself was not to let anything stay to question and insure it is completed 100%!Fermin and his crew has done numerous projects for us including demolition, framing, termite repair, roof repair, stucco work, sheetrock, wiring etc.  He uses the best, polite, always cleans up and happy to answer any questions.Upfront cost is stated and although we did a few "unknowns", costs have come in as promised.If you are looking for a hard working and honest team, please consider them for your needs. We remodeled our late 1950s home recently to update our kitchen and bathroom.  Fermin and his crew were integral to making our remodel happen.  They were on time every day.  They worked the job until that day's work was done.  Over the course of our remodel, Fermin and his crew: 1) Demoed our kitchen (cabinets, appliances, flooring) and bathroom (sink, tub, toilet, flooring) down to the studs, keeping the mess to a minimum.2) Removed and replaced attic insulation during our hotter-than-hot summer.3) Removed a load-bearing wall and replaced it with a 17' beam - no small feat.4) Demoed lots and lots of stucco so that outdated windows and a patio door could be replaced.5) Installed new windows and a new patio door. My wife and I recently bought a house in San Marcos, CA and we had AML Leon construction come and bid on a loft addition and other work we wanted done (4 projects in all, but the loft was the largest of the projects). They came in and I was immediately comfortable with them as we walked through the house talking about the things we wanted done. They asked all the right questions and made sure to get a full scope of the projects and then came back a couple days later with a bid. It wasn't the cheapest, and it wasn't the most expensive of the 4 bids we received, but it was detailed enough for us to make sure we weren't forgetting anything. We selected them, they came out a couple weeks later and completed the work with extreme professionalism and on time. We even changed up a couple things in the middle and they handled those changes within the previously agreed upon timelines. They were courteous throughout the process, and really explained the process when I had questions (which was often). I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about remodeling their home, and I will most definitely use them in the future. More...
