Staff is super friendly!! Always attentive and welcome me aloud and say goodbye regardless if I have headphones in or not! ! Locker rooms are always clean and on multiple occasions I have gone in and someone is in the process of cleaning. You get what you pay for. It's never too crowded, plenty of equipment, and they just added new equipment this week! However, if you're not a gym rat or don't need fancy equipment, I would opt for a cheaper membership somewhere else! Also, this location is NOT 24/7 hours and they close earlier on the weekends!!! For the gyms available in this area, this is by far the nicest one. The staff is really friendly (which is a nice change from the poor customer service I receive most places I go in this town). I'm a transit, and this gym has been the closest thing to making this feel like home to me. Don't pay attention to the hateraid people like to post. They are probably the same people that make things negative in the first place. Way to go Chester am fam. Fyi; I never post on anything public like this. I just signed up about 3 weeks ago I used to be a member at Anytime Fitness which has gone downhill changed owners they dont care about equipment half the time the machines didnt work anyway I walked into American Family everyone was friendly and helpful with everything you have a question they have an answer.
I like that my son could join and they treated him just as good as they treated me
And the machines work ALL of them and when one has an issue its fixed the next day. When you walk in every day its always a friendly hello when you leave its always have a nice day. Even if you walk by and dont say anything to them because you think they are busy. It was the best change I could have made. And if I want to go to one in another area around here I can.

Very nice, clean gym with plenty of cardio equipment and a good choice of classes. I like the benefits of the membership-especially the 2 free sessions with a personal trainer-all who have been wonderful to both myself and my hubby!

I cannot imagine any facility being cleaner, more hospitable and more accessible than the AFF Chester location. Variety of machines gives me more options to choose from. Love the fact that there are still late evening classes in Chester for people like myself who get of at 6. Facility was nice however I hope one day they will put in a pool for me and my kids. Swift creek is too far to go at 7pm after getting off work. Personnel I felt was okay. The director on shift was great, however my cousin told me that there was an employee following him throughout the gym on our visit Monday 12/2/17. I don't know why, but I told him maybe the employee was stereotyping and being cautious because he had exposed tattoos. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. More...

AmFam Chester is smaller than all of the other Amfams just like everything else in Chester is, with that said, It's a really nice gym and you can't imagine how clean it is. Staff members are constantly cleaning and making sure the equipment is in great condition. The kidszone staff is awesome and I feel confident leaving my children with them. If you can ignore the the lack of amenities that the other gyms have (pool, basketball) you would really like this gym. Yes it's small but that also makes it pretty easy to workout and see what machines/areas are free before you go to use them. More...

AFF is one of the nicest chain gyms I've been to. Â Clean equipment, great array of classes, juice bar, clean locker rooms, and childcare starting at infant 6 weeks & older (infant care with family membership & reservation). Â This location is a smaller one than the others like ones in Midlothian so it lacks the pool and additional group exercise rooms.The members at AFF seem to be very well mannered which is a plus if you know what I mean! Â No excessive grunting, no slamming machines, no sweaty machines, etc... You'd enjoy it! More...
