Amanda Anthony Photography was spectacular!! She was our wedding photographer in October 2016. She also took our engagement photos at the Foundry in Powhatan, VA in October 2015 which is where my husband and I got engaged. It was such a special place for us and we LOVED how the pictures turned out. Not only did we love the pictures of us but also adored how she captured the Foundry and certain areas of the property that were important to us (i.e. - the exact location where my husband proposed). After being so thrilled with our engagement photos, it was a no brainier that Amanda would photograph our wedding as well as our rehearsal dinner. Amanda and her plus one team did a great job being flexible with us on the day off. My husband and I got ready for the big day at separate venues and she made sure to coordinate which photographer would be where so we could capture both my husband and I the morning leading up to our wedding. Amanda sent over a "picture checklist" to confirm the types of must have pictures we wanted to capture the day of. This was very helpful for me, as a bride with a million things going on, it definitely helped me make sure I wasn't forgetting about any needed shots. We received our wedding pictures quickly after the wedding as well. We got married October 29th and had the edited photos in less than a month. I would highly recommend Amanda and if we were local to VA, I would plan to use her for much more Christmas cards etc. Amanda is the perfect mix of artistic and classic/traditional photography. We had so much fun with Amanda on our wedding day. Since she had shot at our venue before, she knew all the fantastic places to get a good picture with the perfect lighting. *Highly recommend that every bride participate in a bridal portrait session.
*Pricing is very reasonable, especially for the level of service and the quality of photographs provided. You also get rights to all photographs taken which is a huge plus.
*Very flexible - I live a few hours away from Richmond and she was always accommodating with her own schedule to make sure we could meet when I was in town or needed to speak on the phone after the normal 9-5 hours. Questions via email were answered in a timely manner.
*Photographs turned out beautiful with plenty of options from which to choose.
The best way to describe working with Amanda was "easy" which is so appreciated when planning a wedding. Amanda goes above and beyond to work with her clients and I will definitely recommend her to friends & family who need a photographer for future events.

Amanda did my bridal portraits and wedding photography and they both exceeded my expectations. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera as she took a more natural and relaxed approach. We had a pretty big wedding and she managed to capture so many moments of all of our friends and family throughout the night! Amanda is passionate about her work which was clearly evident in my wedding photos. She went out of her way to make my pictures perfect even though my husband was a little uncooperative at times. She was warm, friendly and very professional. Her work clearly stands out from that of her competitors which is the reason I chose her. I wanted works of art and was prepared to pay for this. If price is the main determinant in your decision making, please don't insult her. Amanda was amazing! Her creativity and artistic eye far surpasses any other photographer's work I have seen. She was professional, easy to deal with and both patient and polite to all my family members who insisted on taking their own photographs even when politely asked to "hold their fire" until she was done.
