We could not have had a better experience with Alyssa! She did our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures, so we had a great opportunity to get to know her, get used to working with her, and see how her photos came out. They were so beautiful--soft, intimate, and romantic while still crisp and colorful.

She was easy to work with, both during the photos and via email and text while planning. She always got back to me very quickly, and the turnaround on edited photos was 3 weeks for the wedding and even less for the engagement pictures.

She gave us access to our photos in an online gallery, and we could download those photos and post them on Facebook, Instagram, etc. For the wedding photos, she also mailed us a flash drive (and a bottle of champagne!). We have the digital rights to our photos and can use them online, which is great.

During the actual photographs, she made us feel at ease, and not awkwardly posed, and she knew how to pose us and use the surroundings to make our pictures come out a lot prettier than we actually are ;). She was good with our family for group photos at the wedding. She sent us a detailed questionnaire prior to the wedding to get an idea of what we wanted, and to get a list of photos, so there was no last-minute scramble to round up the correct family members or fight over who should be in which pictures.

I would highly recommend Alyssa to anyone looking for a photographer. We had a low-budget wedding, but we were willing to put some money into photography to make sure we had beautiful keepsakes and memories from what turned out to be a whirlwind of a day. Alyssa is a talented photographer, but she is so much more than that.

From the first day we met, we knew she was the photographer for us: Her work is beautiful, her personality is great, and her love for people makes her all the better to work with.

Whatever style photography you prefer, she will cater to it. For us, she catered to our desire for a mix of modern and traditional photographs. Her attitude throughout the entire wedding process (which can sometimes be quite stressful/hectic), was one that looked toward the needs of others.

It's one thing to hire someone who takes awesome pictures; it's a another thing to hire someone who is a hard worker who immediately makes you feel like a friend. Alyssa is both, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

I contacted Alyssa when I wanted to have her take surprise photographs of my proposing to my fiancé. We have received many compliments on the creativity of Alyssa's work. She thinks of many unique ways to capture special moments.Alyssa was very flexible in working with us to create a schedule for the photos that would work with what we wanted to do before and during the reception. Alyssa was willing to incorporate different shots that we wanted. She has a standard shot list that was helpful, and we tweaked it and added some shots based on our families and things that we wanted. I can't gush enough about Alyssa. She was awesome! When we were meeting with photographers, it felt like they were all just trying to sell us a photo album. But Alyssa sold us on her pictures, no cheesy gimmicks about what colors the album cover comes in. She stayed in touch before the wedding to make sure that she had a list of all of the pictures we wanted taken, and then double checked on the day of the wedding. She was professional, incredibly nice, easy to connect with, open to suggestions (and if you didn't have any, she has plenty of great ideas!). And the pictures from the wedding are just incredible!
