Karen Alberts
The very best at knowing how to get my dog to understand what is wanted.
Jackie
Karen is a very knowledgeable and patient trainer. She understands the psychology of the way dogs think and react to get the results for a well trained dog. I had special needs training for a hearing dog and she showed me how to get results. My dog has several tasks to help me navigate in public. She is very kind to her animals and showed me how to respect my dog around other dogs that weren’t service animals. Watching her work with her dogs made me want her to help me work with mine, only she did the heavy lifting! More...

What do you love most about your job?
Helping others get the dog to do behaviors always on cue performance with heart and soul.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I bred English Mastiffs 24 years ago as a backyard breeder, initially. I learned the hard way about responsible breeding and stopped breeding when we found an inherited eye condition in one of our English Mastiffs (this was before genetic testing availability). I transitioned into rescuing and fostering English Mastiffs and Great Pyrenees dogs and training them before rehoming them for over 20 years. I started therapy and service dog training over eight years ago. When I needed a service dog to mitigate my disability, I contacted Dreamdogz for help with specific task training guidance. In 2018, I was invited to be a contracted trainer working with Dreamdogz under my company, Holstein's Well-Behaved Buddies LLC. I then worked as Hope Service Dogs Inc.'s Whelping Nurse, Board Member, Medical Director, and Secretary, where I invested in setting up my home as the breeding facility and nursery for Hope Service Dogs Inc.'s puppies. I delivered the first five litters (one litter stillborn) for the organization and raised their first four litters until the age of 8 weeks old, all without pay or reimbursement of costs, during 2018-2021. In 2020, Dreamdogz became Heart & Soul Dog Training, LLC, through a brainstorming session at a dog training school we attended together. We agreed to partner up together, and my company changed to Heart & Soul Dog Training Gainesville, LLC; the same week, Dreamdogz was converted to Heart & Soul Dog Training. We agreed to share the same logo and website. We even wrapped our vans with each of our own dog's photos featured on the vans to match and only our phone numbers being different. We attended conferences and dog training schools together to further our education in 2018-2021, flying and riding together and often me driving my vehicle to these training schools and events without reimbursement of costs.
Along with operating my own business under Holstein's Well Behaved Buddies and then Heart and Soul Dog Training Gainesville LLC, I helped train the board and train clients of Heart and Soul Dog Training and Hope Service Dogs Inc and did individual private sessions on their property without pay. I assisted with group sessions, teaching service dog tasks and skills at the property of Dreamdogz, Hope Service Dogs, Inc, and Heart & Soul Dog Training, LLC, without pay. I helped clients with training for public access at the local theme parks, grocery stores, and local venues with Hope Service Dogs, Inc, where I drove my vehicle to and from without reimbursement or pay. I helped teach service dog schools during 2019-2021 held by Hope Service Dogs, Inc. After separating from the former businesses, I formed my two companies, Always On Cue Dog Training and Heartsoulk9breeding.com, in June 2021.
