Hello!

My name is Maritza Lopez and I have over 10 years of experience in video editing, filming, directing, and producing. I am a San Diego native and my passion for digital media began when I was the news anchor for my high school’s TV station where I edited and produced my own weekly segments. As my skills advanced in filming, editing, light, audio recording, and everything media production, I was able to be apart of some amazing projects.

You might have seen some of my work airing on United, American, and Southwest as I was an intern for an in-flight media agency where I helped film and edit many projects. In October 2016 I received a Student Production Emmy for my final project of my college career which was a travel piece promoting the mystical city of Sedona, Arizona. After I received my degree in Electronic Media & Film from Northern Arizona University, I started working at GoPro and served as a member of their PR team.

Once my contract with GoPro ended, I worked at a local marketing agency where I started and managed their video department and worked with over 100 clients on branding and social media ads. During my two years there, I work closely with business owners in developing and producing strategic videos that help exude their brand. I conceptualize, film, and edit all promotional/social media content, interviews, product demonstrations, training videos, educational pieces, testimonials, and live stream videos. I also worked very closely with our social media manager to help maintain and update client Youtube and social media channels on a weekly basis. I recently left the company two months ago to pursue projects that I am more passionate about and to start my own production company. Within the past year, I was lucky enough to create over 100 brand videos with local businesses in the San Diego county and film at popular music festivals.
