Alex Mavradis began in photography at an early age by watching and later participating in helping his father develop photographs in a darkroom from black and white film. Understanding the dynamics of the wet baths and its chemicals as it relates to the silver oxide on film, to drying the image, working with a Besselar enlarger and other darkroom techniques. In his early years he photographed with Zeiss lenses and Exacta cameras and Canon cameras.


Alex Mavradis has been a professional photographer since 1987. His other professions has been in sales and marketing with a strong sales career in consumer household appliances and electronic. Also proficient in public speaking.

Early on in his professional photographic career Alex Mavradis worked for businesses needing professional grade photographs in marketing displays, building exteriors, interiors and employees in their work environment.

Other photographic works include photographing real estate properties for realtors and designers. He is strong in portraits for businesses, models, individuals and families.

Alex Mavradis does large events that can range from twenty five individuals up to eight hundred at conferences, conventions and banquets. This may include weddings, anniversaries, non-profit organizations needing photographic works .

He has also for several years photographed for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston, the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England and other religious organizations.

Strong in product photography is a key to promoting a business product or products from hard goods to soft goods such as clothing.

In addition Alex Mavradis produces brochures, posters, and other literature for profit and non-profit organizations with a fast turnaround time needed for most businesses and non-profits. Over the years he has photographed with 35mm film camera, medium format camera and large format cameras. With the improvement of the digital format camera, Alex Mavradis's darkroom became the computer with knowledge in Photoshop programs, power point and other programs for display events. Using Nikon camera since 1996. Now he employs high resolution digital format technology with mirror cameras and mirrorless cameras. Always carrying the proper lens for the occasion and or event. Other advance applications include studio. lighting that can be used in a photographic studio but portable enough for field work in a home, business or outdoors. He is listed as a Nikon Professional photographer for his photographic works and service oriented acumen.


Over the years he has held several art exhibits in the Boston area with his photographs approved by juried photographers in their respective fields of expertise. Alex Mavradis also participates in periodic workshops in photography.
