I have used Access for 15 years. I would never use anyone else for my garage door. Their service is phenomenal! I still have the motor for my garage I got years ago and its working beautifully. The garage door and opener were installed 6 years ago, prior to my purchase of the house. The doors are classy, finished & stained wood. They are so handsome that I decided that the company should be given an opportunity to fix a glitch in the garage door opener.I wish I had called Access first. Instead I called Neighborhood Garage Door Services (formerly Garage Door Services.) They were sleazy, unprofessional, and wanted $900 to replace a motor, which later turned out to be in perfect working order. Do not use Neighborhood.My problem was simple and minor: Upon closing the the garage door, sometime the door would only  travel a door; then stop. Press again it was ok. A quirk, not a big problem. The Access technician (John) diagnosed that the spring needed a slight adjustment, which he performed for the total cost of $158 ($99 for the house call and $59 for the repair.).I would not hesitate to use them again. We had Access install our custom garage doors over ten years ago.  We've had nothing but excellent service.  In those ten plus years, they've always been prompt and the quality of service is top notch.  Rick has been our service representative for many, if not all these years.  Today was no different.  I had him out for a routine tune up.  He arrived well before our appt. Access does more than new installations and custom doors. They also provide reliable service and repairs. I needed them to replace a busted spring and balance my parent's garage door and another time to inspect a garage door on a home I had purchased. They are very professional, they work quickly and get the job done right. I do many of my own home repairs but the repair and operation of a garage door is not a thing I try to DIY. It is dangerous because the door is heavy, the springs are loaded with tension and these repairs are not something you can learn from the internet. Access Custom Garage Doors installed a very handsome and high quality faux wood composite garage door at my residence. They have a showroom that allowed me to view materials, which greatly aided in making a decision. My existing door was not working properly. Another construction contractor had performed some remodeling that required removing and replacing the old garage door, and was incapable of reinstalling the door so that it worked consistently. When Access Door came to provide an estimate for the new door, they volunteered to have a look at it for no charge, and after about 20 minutes of effort, the old door worked flawlessly during the weeks we waited for the new door to come in. The installation of the new door took one day, it looks great and no problems so far. A door of this quality was not cheap, but greatly added to the curb appeal of the house, and am happy with the purchase. More...

My 1977ish wooden garage door starting wobbling sufficiently when the electric garage door opener would start pulling it up, that the garage door opener stopped and wouldn't open. It was a progressive situation, where the door had finally gotten worse enough to cause problems. The repair fellows discussed all the options with me, including a price estimate for a rollup metal door replacement, which is nice but it would cost more than rehab of the existing door hardware. I decided to rehab all the door hardware since the wooden garage door itself was strong and aging well. The rehabbed door pulls up very smoothly and works great now. The fellows didn't push me in any direction, didn't push me to spend more for a rollup door,... just laid out my options and answered all my questions. Have had numerous problems with a driveway gate opener, 2 other companies failed to satisfy - after about 6 months of me adjusting the limit nuts. ..I found this company.  David came out and fixed the problem.  It did take a long time  - 2 hrs, which added to the cost, but he was working hard and talking to manufacturers on the phone to solve the problem.   But I'm happy because my wife is happy the gate works.  He did share a lot of info with me, clarified some things and all in all the bottom line is the gate works!  He told me I may need a new circuit board in a year or so, and I trust his honesty, instead of trying to sell me one now.  I will definitely call them back if any other problems. Love Access Garage Door. I had them upgrade my garage doors in one house and they were great, from suggesting designs and motors all the way through install. In my current house we have a gorgeous wood door but the motor was really loud. With the master bedroom over the garage, I called to see if they had any ideas. One service call later and an upgraded motor and I get to sleep later even if my husband is out on dawn patrol. I've been a customer for about 15 years now and I've been able to get appointments quickly, good solutions, and same day installs. When I called this week on a Sunday, they gave me a solution to get the door down and noted a weekday service call, which is less expensive than a weekend call, might be preferable. (It was.) Called back Monday and was offered a next-day appointment.Turned out our original builder-done wiring had developed a small short and John was able to present my options with pricing and execute my choice during a service call that was less than an hour long.  You can't go wrong with Access Garage Door and gate whether you want a minor service call or a major replacement. Garage door quality, installation and appearance are great - we receive many comments about the looks and functionality of our Gallery doors.  We had some issues up front on getting the order validated the proper sizing of one of our doors (cut-down), but both were eventually resolved.  They have an experienced employee staff that have been together for many years which helps to quickly address and resolve issues.  Have recommended Access to several friends who have inquired. My garage door broke one night just after I got home.  I couldn't close the door and didn't feel safe leaving it open all night. I called Access, and someone came out in about an hour. He didn't have all the parts he needed, so he manually closed the door and came back the next day at the appointed time and did the work. He was friendly and efficient and didn't charge extra for every little thing.I'm glad I didn't have time to read the other reviews, or I wouldn't have called them. When you have an emergency, you do a Google search and hope for the best. I went to one web site first and didn't trust them because they had countless coupons. To me that said that they were overcharging to begin with.I don't know if  I could have gotten the work done for less - but I got it on time and well done and am happy to pay for the service.
