Our dog has been going here for about 7 years. The staff is fantastic and have been there for years. The owner lives on the premises and checks on the dogs before he turns in for the night. Pawtastic Friends are the greatest bunch of life forns on two legs. They've changed, possibly the lives of some of my more "spirited" fosters and allowed them to move in to loving forever homes with their positivity based training and clear devotion to the dogs . We have been customers here for many years and will bring our German Shepard here, as long as Roe is working. Roe is great with dogs, pays attention to details and welcomes our dog like he's part of her family. The rest of the staff is good with him too, but if Roe wasn't their we might consider another location. We never have problems and feel secure that he will be in great hands when we leave. I was really nervous leaving our 9 month old GS and 4 yr old Min Poodle for 8 days but the staff here were wonderful in reassuring us that they would be fine and they were right! When I called during the week to check up on how they were doing, Greg had me hold on so he could actually go and check on them and report that they were doing fine. Great place!  I was scared after readingA few bad reviews but had boarded there before with no problems.   I boarded my 1 1/2 year old German for 14 days.  I didn't have time to pick her up so for $30 I had her bathed and driven to my home.  She actually gAined weight and had energy to go swimming once home. We have boarded our three dogs here many times and have had an excellent experience. My dogs are enthusiastic when I bring them here, and I know if they were mistreated - they wouldn't be excited about going here as they are pampered at home. I find the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. I read some of the negative reviews on here, and was surprised. If you've ever been in any kennels around the country, you will see that there are dogs who will paw and scratch at the gates of the kennels repeatedly when confined -- maybe that's how someone's dog had an injury on their paw in a previous review? Another review stated their pet was dirty upon pick up. I'm guessing the dogs are rolling around on the concrete in a kennel and they may get a bit dirty. It's not plush carpeting that they're staying in. However, you can request your pet to get a bath prior to pick up.All I can say is that my dogs love it here, and the staff is great. More...

Kieth was great on the phone and in person. Our Bella spent three nights with them while we were in Vegas. (Nothing dog friendly in Vegas! ) they accepted here raw food and even let me store her food in their freezer as our resort room didn't have a freezer. I think my dog loved this place! Check in is quick and easy, so is picking up. My dog is a dirtball when I picked him up, I take it as a sign of good times. They will bath your dog like other places, but you need to call ahead of pick up. I didn't have time so I'm bringing home dirty.Lots of people bring a ton of stuff there when they board the dog; bed, trundle, couch, photos in a frame etc...and the facility accommodates all home brought "reminders". What I liked the most about this place is the kennels are all next to each other, some places have stacked kennels so some dogs are on the top kennel. This is a review of an experience of an employee, not of the resort. Thank you to the guy working at A-VIP Pet Resort Las Vegas. Wearing the "uniform" of his employer he made our day easier and stopped us in a bus stop telling us that we were on the wrong side of the road. We obviously looked like tourists with our suitcase and pale skin  He helped us on our right path and also helped us when we got off the bus so that we could get home to our hotel instead of taking a bus in the wrong direction and on a wrong bus line. We take our pointer to A-VIP on roughly a once-a-week basis for daycare, and board him probably a weekend every two to three months, with one or two extended stays of a week per year.  He always gets extremely excited when he recognizes the streets that show he's being driven there, then runs in happy and leaves happy.  The staff are always friendly and always extremely professional.  I do note that some of the negative reviews mention that dogs smelled or seemed dirty when they were picked up.  Those times when we have had our dog washed before picking him up after boarding, he's been immaculate.  When we have not had the extra service done of our dog being washed, he then has the same "dog" smell that he would have after going to a dog run for an hour.  We are very glad to have found this kennel and daycare. I have boarded my dog there the past couple of years over the holidays.  He gets nervous when he's away from me, so I'm not surprised by his weight loss.  He barely eats any time he's boarded anywhere. However, it would be nice if they returned any uneaten food.  I gave them extra food and didn't get any back when I picked him up either time...which I don't think about until I'm home and it's too late.  If he didn't eat AND I gave extra, I would expect the leftover food to be returned to me. I'm surprised to read the reviews here, the negative ones. We were really happy with vip. I would put the customer service we received in Las Vegas in two categories. ..the worst or the best. And this place was some of the best. the young man at the front desk was SO NICE to us. We figured our dog might not eat well while he was there; he has big time separation anxiety, but he seemed well cared for and seemed to bond well with the staff. my dogs are there right now while we're out of the country. i called them today and as usual they were reported as being in good shape and  are in day care outside their own run- every day. i've been boarding with them for 6-8 years. yes, my guys get dirty, they're dogs! they get dirty every day when i take them to the dog park. they dont eat as much as they normally do when they're there but it's insignificant.they're 55 & 70 lbs and they are well. i'm so sure about there well being that i can post this review before i pick them up later this week. ron & anita u. I have used this place two times and absolutely love it they treat your dogs great and they even washed the blankets I gave them when I picked up my pets! I'm not sure if they give obedience classes while the dogs are being boarded there but every time I pick up my pets they are much more well behaved. Also the prices are awesome. :) More...

first i would like to thank all the people who work there for treating my puppy (hes actually 8 years old) like one of their own. we moved all the way from another state and my dog stayed here for almost 8 months they were friendly and understanding of his needs. hes a guard dog and i never have him around other dogs. he is also a picky eater and can sometimes can be a brat. when i brought him in he was very over weight =0) but they helped me get him back to what he is suppose to be . i have an american blue nose pitbull. most places i called would literally hang up once i said what breed of dog i had. but this place didnt. they were very helpful and understood i was moving from another state  and i was in the process of purchasing a new home. whenever i came to visit him he was always happy. even when i took him out for the day, when we would return he was always excited. and for him being a house dog he did very well here. i cant thank you enough. if you love your pets and your going away for while, this is the palce to bring them. bring their favorite toys, blankets,bones or whatever makes your pet comfortable at home. that will make their stay better for them. they will feel like their at home.thanks again to a vip pet resortsomkey's mom More...

I left my dogs there for a week. They had a blast! Staff was awesome! Very friendly and trust worthy. When I picked up my dogs they looked a little skinnier and one had diarrhea for a few days but my vet says that is not unusual due to a new exciting environment and change in eating habits/schedule. I wanted to give it 4.5 starts but didn't know how.  I liked this place. They first of all reassured me that they would take care of my dogs which is very comforting to me. So I give them a 7 for customer service.  We especially were happy when we came to visit our dogs the next day and they appeared very happy and didn't seem like they were missing us at all which I think is what most people want from there dogs stay. They also loved Alex one of the staff which was very reassuring for us. I love A-VIP. We're local to Las Vegas and we've boarded our Yorkie here probably 15+ times in the last 2.5 years. We've boarded there for quick overnight trips as well as up to a week at a time. The location is nice since its on the way to the airport. I think the pricing is competitive. We always pay the extra $5/day so my dog can have "play group" and play with other dogs. The staff is always nice and friendly. They called our vet to confirm our updated shot records so we didn't have to bring in the paperwork which I appreciated. I've also used their grooming services a few times. If the dog stays a week, he gets a free bath which is nice. We've also gotten the dog's hair cut there a couple times and it turned out nice. I have boarded my dog here about a half dozen times in the last two years.  The facility is a little off the beaten path and the parking lot has a little "storage" of random items in the corner.  The facility is clean, the staff is nice and yes my dog comes back dirty, but she has from every kennel.  So the folks complaining about their dog was dirty I think are being unrealistic.  I like this place, recommended it to many folks and their prices are very affordable.  I think this is more a facility for dogs than cats as I have never seen cats here.Nice runs, nice people, good prices. The staff here is always friendly and accommodating and are willing to help make the experience here a positive one for both owners and pets. When we misplaced our beagle-mix's paperwork from the shelter we adopted her from, the staff placed the call to the shelter to confirm the info they needed and simply took care of it--no hassle, very polite. They are also very accommodating on letting our beagle-mix & golden retriever be boarded together and have play time together as well. Our dogs always come back from a weekend at VIP Pet Resort happy and tired, as though they've been playing the entire weekend. I moved to Las Vegas 6 months ago. I needed a place for my 5 year old rottweiler . He is nevous aggressive pet but, very sweet when you are around him a little. I have had trouble in the past with boarders being young and scared of my dog usually when I board him it is always a nightmare. Not this time!! I went in to look at the facitlities prior to boarding. I like that they have several different types of kennels and one group of them looking away from the play yard,  so that dogs like mine will not try and bark at the other dogs while they are playing. The kennel was large and clean. The ladies their made me feel very confortable and let me explain my puppy and the challenges we have had. They assured me that they arent affaid of dogs like him and he would be in good hands. So,  I decided to keep my boarding appointment. After a long 12 days I picked up my dog. They had him bathed and ready to go with his bed and toys up at the front. They told me that he did really well and no problems!!!  WOW what a load off and now I have a place that will care for him when I am out of town. More...

Took my yellow lab here this past weekend last minute and they took him in with no problems.  The prices and location are really good compared to other pet hotels so I will be coming back here again when my dog needs a place to crash. Note:  This place is kinda hard to find.  GPS was not even able to find them.  The main crossstreets are Warm Springs and Las Vegas Blvd.  You want to stay on LV Blvd, then go west on Warm Springs until you hit a dead end (pass the Animal Hospital) and make a right til you hit Arby, then make a left.  The pet resort is kinda tucked away in a corner at the end of the street. Who knew there were so many kennels in LV? I sure didn't until I did a quick search and had a huge list to choose from. I ended up picking A-VIP because of the reviews and you didn't steer me wrong. I am very impressed with this kennel. Before boarding our dog, I toured the facility in advance and everything is extremely clean and you can tell the animals are well cared for.   I like the fact you can bring your dog's bed, food and even a toy with them.  The best recommendation is the dog himself....he has been boarded there twice now.  He goes in very confidently and most importantly, he came out wagging his tail and you could tell he was happy.  They knew we would be picking him up at a certain time, and they had everything ready.  The location is a bit tricky to find, but VERY convenient for traveling into/out of Las Vegas;....it is very close to McCarran Airport.  Definitely recommend this kennel...and my standard poodle does, as well. This is the second time we left Little Prince in here. It costs $35 if you have your pet's shot record and $45 if you don't have it and they are placed in a separate suite. Suite is roomy...they even have a TV set in the room...I told the man in the reception, Little Prince loves The Lion King...:)Little Prince's hair was matted when we left him there and they groomed him. We payed $35 for his grooming, usually we pay $60-$80 when we go to Petsmart or other grooming salon.Little Prince seemed happy when we got him...I am very pleased with the service he received at this hotel.
