Ed's a great guy who listens well, makes me laugh, non-judgmental, and very kind. I've tried multiple therapists and he is by far my favorite.

Ed is one of the best therapists I've come across particularly for young people. I first saw him when I was in high school dealing with some nasty depression and later on in my mid-20's. He is one of the most genuine people, let alone therapists, out there and has a huge capacity for getting inside your emotions and seeing things from your perspective. As a huge inspiration for my career in mental health, I cannot recommend Ed enough. More...

Ed McShane is an excellent choice for a therapist! He is one of the most intricate people I have ever known, and it's been a blessing to have met with him over the course of the years. Ed's wisdom has helped me so much. Â He has always approached me with genuine concern and understanding. I have nothing bad to say about him. His office has always been homey, with personal touches that offer his patients to see more of himself. It was helpful for me to feel comfortable opening up, as I am very shy, to see that he was a person with likes, dislikes, hobbies, problems... Just like me. The other counselors I have met can make one feel as if they are microscopic and difficult to study. Ed is very open and comforting. He has also written a book I bought a few years back, "Notes for the Heart." The book contains various essays that shed light on Ed's perspective in life, love, and more.Since meeting Ed, I have never second guessed my first impressions of him and would recommend him to anyone.
