A Big Ticket Sound Experience was founded in the early 90s by Mark Hardin as the DJ Service for simple for hire social events and school dances. Then, moved quickly to DJing some of the biggest clubs in SF and nearby Bay Area cities. When Mark moved to the Sacramento area, he started working at Busby Berkeley, which was a swank nightclub on the 15th floor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel (Downtown Sacramento).

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Knowing your audience and having an array of music genres at your finger tips to turn the dancefloor when appropriate; giving all guest the opportunity to dance the night away.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My style is a little more laid back. I make those important announcement when necessary, while letting my musical selections speak loudly; keeping the dancefloor pack and the guest aware of what's happening next.
What makes photo booths such a great alternative to traditional photographers?
Photo Booths can never take the place of photographers, and we recommend for those extremely important weddings and such, the client consider both (Photographer and our Amazing Tower Booth). Our Tower Booth will elevate the level of excitement for the whole family and guest, and capture the day in real time. The guest can print, text, or email their pictures immediately to anyone anywhere.
What photo booth props do you offer?
Many of the props are inside the software of the Tower Booth (eliminating the waring of props again and again). We do carry hand held props that can be sanitized before, during, and after each event. What do you love most about your job?
I’ve been in the DJ industry for decades, but for me, there’s so much more to DJing and entertaining than the business side. I want to make sure that you have the most successful event possible. My passion is ignited when I get to create an unforgettable experience and make your dreams come true.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I knew many of my competitors were in this business for the income. I was in the business for something different. I wanted my customers to have an "Experience" of a lifetime. I wanted to help make dreams come true through entertainment, and just make that perfect evening a reality.
Why should our clients choose you?
Even though I have decades under my belt, I’m always trying to learn, keep up to date on the latest sound and lighting technology, and improve what I do. On the night of your wedding or event, I’ll uplift you and your special guests and keep everyone entertained, without taking center stage. I strongly feel that on the night of your event, we are all working together as a family to keep you happy.

We always prefer meeting in person for the initial meeting, but through Covid-19, we find many of our clients enjoy meeting via Zoom. We can do both; keeping a strict process guided by the CDC when meeting with future clients. We can also do virtual corporate parties for those progressive companies who still want to give their employees something to look forward to during Covid-19.
