Mel was my life coach consistently for about 18 months, but let's be honest, once a life coach, always a life coach! She was different than others that I had met because she wasn't about solving the main problem right from the get go. She dug down into the roots of my past to help me understand why I was the way I was. This helped me understand my emotions on such an immense level that I still cry about how grateful I am for her. We hired Melissa to officiate our wedding TWO WEEKS before the actual day of our wedding, and boy are we lucky we found her! I honestly thought that finding an officiant would be the hardest thing ever. Neither my spouse or myself are religious and we had a pretty strict idea of what we wanted. Working with Melissa was the BEST. The first time we met, we clicked SO well! We met one more time so she could get to know us more, and she could personalize our ceremony to us. Melissa was helpful during the whole process. From the first time we met with her, down to the day of our wedding. She was on time(early actually) very professional, nice and a down to earth person. What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people self-discover. In my experience coaching, I have found that individuals are usually capable of identifying their own solutions. I really enjoy providing a supportive, discovery-based framework that encourages personal accountability. My goal is to elicit more than just positive emotions during the coaching experience. My primary focus is on creating strategies that will assist clients in changing their work and/or personal life while discovering their purpose.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had the pleasure of working for a company that allowed me to provide wellness coaching to clients. It was there that I discovered how much I enjoyed helping people find their personal path to joy. When my role changed and I was no longer coaching clients, I lost the pleasure I once felt with the job. It was then I knew that my calling was to coach others and help them find the path that leads them to their greatest success.
As my practice evolved, I found that I was coaching couples often. I became a Prepare/Enrich facilitator which gave me more tools to help couples strengthen their relationship. I also became a non-denominational minister so I could help join couples in marriage. Some clients who engaged in premarital counseling have appreciated the fact that I could also help join them in legal marriage.

Clients should choose me because I am passionate about helping people succeed. It is my role to help clients achieve their goals so they no longer need my services. There is no greater joy than seeing a person transform in ways they never thought possible.
Premarital and Marital Enrichment Coaching
Whether your dating, engaged or married, this program can strengthen your relationship. Taking the Prepare/Enrich assessment and working with a certified facilitator has been shown to benefit couples by:
Exploring their strengths & opportunities for growth

Providing conflict resolution skills
Helping couples understand their personality similarities & differences

Developing a financial budget & setting financial goals

Depending on your relationship status, you may elect to participate in 4, 8, or 12 sessions. Sessions are typically 60-90 minutes long, depending on the topic. Determining the program that best serves you will be identified during the initial consultation.
