As a certified strength coach I offer my clients simply that. Injuries, chronic pain, and low fitness levels are a result of a lack of strength and resiliency. My goal is to help my clients alleviate chronic pain, lose weight, build athleticism and develop the strongest and fittest versions of themselves.

Mike has all of the traits you want in a trainer: he is motivating, extremely knowledgeable and fun to train with. He is very adept at helping people recover from injuries; he developed his own program to recover from a back injury and managed to avoid having surgery. More...

Mike is really passionate about his work. It’s rare to have a professional in this field who will take the time to work with client’s needs and health. I’ve worked with Mike for about two years now and he’s helped me change my lifestyle to one that allows me to have more energy, less pain and more movements with my body. He’s very knowledgeable! I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know what a fantastic trainer, and even better role model, Mike is. I have known Mike for over 10 years and during this time I have witnessed first hand his commitment to helping people improve their lives through fitness; both mind and body. He has a unique ability to get the very best out of people, way more than they ever thought possible.

My story is not unique to the fitness world. I am a working professional that for years has put my fitness on the backburner while I work long hours in the corporate world. This has left me in desperate need of strength, mobility and flexibility. Working with Mike has put me on track to achieve all three of these unique metrics. It wasn't easy, he demanded I pushed myself with him there every step of the way. In return I have achieved results that are far superior in a short 2 months than I had in the previous 5 years combined.

If you are looking for someone to stick you into a generic program you can find on the internet in a quick google search and guilt you into sticking to the program, then Mike isn't for you. Mike takes his passion for training and fitness, and implements it into his coaching.  He seems to really want to get to know your individual goals, strengths and limitations so that he can tailor each and every workout to make you a better version of yourself.   He never asks you to do something he hasn't thoroughly thought out, tried, and tested (either with others or on himself).  The effort he puts into preparing a specialized training plan is evident in the systematic workouts he composes and the improvements I have seen as a direct result of his coaching.  Sometimes the workouts seem tough, sometimes they seem impossible, but afterwards you'll always be glad you did it. Mike has everything that I look for in a personal trainer: He's super knowledgeable about so many different styles of training, He's tough when I need a push and encouraging when I'm running out of steam, He's open to new ideas and he knows how to make working out fun. He makes our workout seem like a collaboration, something we are doing together rather than just me sweating while someone yells at me.I would recommend him to all types of people! He'd be great for people who are experienced working out, people who want to try something new, people with specific goals, people who just want to be healthier for general life. From the perspective of a non-gym rat: I hate going to the gym. I feel like a trapped hamster surrounded by vain, superficial, egotistical people zoned into repetitive workouts. It seems boring and not my type of crowd.  I like my workouts to be fun, energetic and not monotonous. Pros:  -Michael reassured me that his workouts are far from what I had envisioned above. -His workouts are personally tailored to you, incredibly challenging, creative and painfully fulfilling when you're done. -His attention to proper body movements and  safety is key to building trust between you and a trainer. -His flawless delivery of instruction and modeling shows he's a natural born teacher. (Being a teacher myself, I was impressed with his  his excellent and personable communication skills.)Con:-He needs his own gym. I can only imagine how much more creative his workouts will be when he gets his own gym. Overall, he's changed my perspective on fitness and gym life. I would recommend him to anyone who's hesitated about lifting, getting a personal trainer, or making fitness apart of your lifestyle. More...

I started training with Mike about a year ago. I came from the traditional 24hr setting focusing on strength training. Mike helped me take it to the next level, focusing on a more holistic approach to fitness. My diet, mobility, conditioning and strength have all improved to a point I would have never been able to achieve without Mike's individualized programming. Having worked with multiple trainers in the past, I can say without a doubt that Mike is 100% the best trainer I have had.  He creates a program for you that helps you achieve your goals while also working through any weaknesses you might have.  I have had major ankle issues and never thought it would be possible to workout to my full potential without my ankle holding me back.  After a few months of working with Mike I've seen major improvements and can do things pain free, something I never thought possible.  It is evident that Mike not only has a passion and vast knowledge for fitness, but also for helping others become the best version of themselves.  He creates fun and challenging workouts, but also ensures your form and movements are correct to avoid injury.  It's been a pleasure working with Mike and I would definitely recommend him to anyone! I've been lifting for over a decade and been in and out of commercial type gyms the entire time.  I've used trainers in those types of gyms and I would always see some sort of results, but was never truly happy.  I found Mike about 6 months ago.  Since then my entire lifestyle has changed.  It used to be go to the gym, workout with a trainer that seemed less than interested, go home, repeat 3 times a week for a large amount of money.  Mike is completely different. He will work with you on not only changing your body, but also changing your lifestyle and the way you think about health.  He focuses on functional health/strength and mobility.  With his guidance I have been able to reduce pain from my platar fasciitis making it easier to walk with less foot, knee and hip pain.  He will teach you to think differently in your day to day life with little things like standing with your toes pointed forward instead of out.  My strength has gone very far up and I now feel muscles I never have before.  I am losing weight and feeling much better about myself.  Mike is absolutely fantastic and in my opinion seems to really care about his clients as a person and not just a dollar sign. First and foremost, Mike is fantastic trainer and an even better man. He is patient, methodical and a true student of all things fitness. Mike is about your needs, not his preconceived ideas about how he wants to train. His training strategies are as varied as the needs of the individuals he trains. I recently completed a six-week strength program and the results were, in a word, astonishing. I am 53 years old and stronger than I have ever been in my life (and I now have the 305 pound deadlift to prove it).What I enjoy most about training with Mike is his friendship. He genuinely cares about the people he trains and I am proof positive about how being around someone so positive and supportive can have a profound impact on a person. I was in town for business and looked up a local gym to to workout in.  Mike's PT came up since he was close to the airport and I worked out with Mike and he helped me with a few different movements I've been struggling with. Michael is an A+ personal trainer. I feel comfortable saying that he is the best personal trainer I have ever interacted with. He is very knowledgeable and dedicated to his clients. He has put several strength programs together for me and I have not only seen tremendous growth and results from these programs but have also enjoyed the time I have spent working with him. Michael is an exceptional trainer that makes your goals his priority. I have had numerous personal trainers in various settings so I'm not a newbie when it comes to fitness. I've made every mistake possible regarding my diet and training plan. It takes a very long time to find what works best for you if you try and accomplish this on your own. I have been doing Michael's training programs for almost a year now and have seen incredible strength improvements, as well as mobility improvements that were holding me back from reaching my goals.
