Our kitchen granite was put in by Midwest Stone 5 years ago and still looks great. I use a product that I purchased from them to clean and polish my counters. I was refilling my bottle and the sprayer did not work properly. I went in to get a replacement for my sprayer and received a new bottle at no charge. My wife and I had gotten quotes from other contractors to renovate our kitchen when a neighbor suggested we try Midwest Stone. We mistakenly thought they only sold countertops. When we went there we were greeted by Dan who asked us about our project. After we explained to him what we were doing he asked if he could give us a quote. He came to our house and in the process he made a recommendation, which we immediately liked, that none of the other contractors had even suggested.

We ended up having them remodel our kitchen and our master bath. The project from start to finish took approximately seven weeks. Along the way we had some minor corrections that we had not thought of and the team made those changes with no problems. We had one change that warranted a change order which was added to the cost of the project. All of the workers and subcontractors were very friendly, professional and helpful. It has been about 10 months since the project was completed and we are still enjoying the "newness" of our kitchen and master bath. We highly recommend this company. More...

I'm thrilled I went to Midwest Stone Source for my granite countertops. They worked with me to stay within my budget. We loved our experience with Midwest stone source when we were looking for new granite counter tops in our kitchen. They were the only site in Rockford that told us the places that we could go look for new slabs since we didn't like any they had on site. Everyone else just told us to come back periodically to see if anything new came in. We were able to find a slab we liked and Midwest took care of everything else. I would say, Midwest Stone Source is the ONLY place to go if you live in Rockford, IL area, for countertops, kitchen backsplashes or custom cabinetry. There is an amazing group of people there to work with! Jeff, the cabinet designer, has worked in the business for about 25+ years and understands cabinetry detail like no one else in the area. Owners Jodi & Denise are hands on & wonderful to work with. The showroom, well that has SO many amazing choices for tile - and make sure you check out the gorgeous granite slabs in the back! Just between the product selection available and the professionalism of the staff - there is no way I'd go anywhere else in the Rockford area for countertops, kitchen backsplashes or custom cabinetry. My experience with Midwest Stone Source was excellent. Denise was very helpful and gave great suggestions. She was willing to drive out to my house to help me pick a color for the counter that would match my current cabinets, floor and walls. I felt overwhelmed trying to decide what color and style of countertop to go with and she was very helpful. Once she suggested a countertop I was able to come in and look at the slab. Once I was satisified we picked out tile for the backsplash. When my specific slab came in I was able to look at it and place the template on the slab of what would be my counter top. Everyone I worked with was friendly, polite and professional. Everyone was on time and did what was contracted. I would recommend anyone doing a remodel or new construction to use Midwest Stone.
