What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret to taking a great photo (Or video in our case) is first thinking about what you want the end viewer to take away from it. Lighting, composition, music, etc... They all play a part in determining how the end user will feel and what they will take away from a video or photo. What works for one client wont always be what works for another... knowing the end objective makes all the difference.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Once complete, how would you measure if this project was a success or failure? Are you looking to attract new clients, bring awareness to a cause, sell more of a specific product or service? This will help us determine a clear direction for the video and make sure we deliver on your objective.
What do you love most about your job?
If you ask us what subject we were good at in school, most of us would say art. We figured out how to use our crafty brains to help solve peoples problems. Also, we geek out over cameras, computers, production lights... that sort of thing.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working at other production companies, I got tired of the limitations that were set by my bosses. I realized I could do a better job, helping similar clients and save them money while doing it. Thats what led me to freelance video work and eventually to starting my own production company.
