This rare and special space was a little difficult to find because it is located in an inconspicuous medical/office building. But once there, I was delighted to see an amazingly peaceful yoga and healing space which is true to its name: Serenity. I arrived almost late today (because I passed the building) with 4 members of my family. Despite our last-minute entry and a full class, the owner welcomed us graciously and found space for us in the 12 pm yin yoga class. Our teacher was gentle and sweet. I am a longtime yoga practitioner and loved the true yoga spirit of the people here and this space. The prices are so reasonable, which make classes accessible to everyone. The serenity, calmness is powerful. I live too far away to attend regular classes, but plan to return for a private medical yoga session. My sister who lives nearby will be returning soon. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when I was 24. I had tried everything to manage my sever symptoms as well as my anxiety and stress played a big factor in it all. When I moved here to Florida at the end of 2014, I found Serenity Now Yoga on Groupon. I had heard about the wonderful health benefits yoga offered and thought I'll give it a try. Of course being new to yoga, I was super nervous because I had zero flexibility and was thinking, what was I getting myself into. Yes it was hard at first but Serenity Now Yoga offered me so much comfort and encouragement that I have kept coming ever since then and made many life long friends here. Over time I began to notice my overall health had changed, I was much happier and experienced less flair ups from my Crohn's Disease :) Serenity Now Yoga inspired me to become a teacher myself because I wanted to share with the world the healing power yoga offered. I have been in an out of the hospital multiple times, taking many different kinds of medications, tried every diet under the sun, and nothing has been as healing as yoga has been. I now take way less medications and sometimes I don't take it at all. Yoga teacher training was such a wonderful life changing experience but when I took the Holy Fire Reiki training that the owner (Dacia) offers, my life changed even more. Reiki has helped me become a better teacher, more intuitive and help me heal myself even more. I had been in a terrible single car accident; was in a coma for a week and had a stroke. It took three years before I was able to get to see Dr. Milescu for her private sessions but after 4 months my flexibility, balance, and most of my strength has started to improve significantly! Been coming for a few weeks now. A Groupon made me give it a try but I will likely keep coming back once that runs out. Kay is a great instructor and pushes you to your own limit, as well as keeps you laughing and smiling. Looking forward to trying out some different classes as well. Serenity Now Yoga is my little Heaven on Earth! As an older, newbie to yoga I was welcomed warmly. The instructors always provide modifications so that the classes are accessible to all levels of students. I have enjoyed every class with many of the instructors.
