What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Even if you both truly love indie rock, there's a good percentage of your guests who probably haven't heard of Modest Mouse and won't appreciate it like you will. A playlist made up entirely of '80s dance music, rap or country is the same story. Don't get us wrong, including your favorite genre at your wedding is great, but it's important to include a little mix of everything—that way there's a little something for everyone. Your wedding is a celebration of your relationship—one that probably involves music—but it's also a time to share with your extended family. Keep them in mind when developing your playlist. Throw grandparents a nod with Frank Sinatra and give your aunts and uncles a chance to dance to a little "We Are Family"(unless you're truly averse). Seeing them enjoy the night will be well worth a few minutes of Sister Sledge.
There's no bigger dance floor turnoff than hearing your least favorite song (ahem, "Chicken Dance"). Put together a short list of please-don't-play songs for your DJ or band to avoid. But at the same time, don't micromanage. While your music pro should know which genres you like and dislike, let them figure out the best way to mix the music.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Live pressure is no pressure at all. This assurance creates a great foundation for taking musical risks. A dull, timid selector is petrified of standing out. A great DJ stands out as policy.
A proper DJ can use any set-up. Anything. They can make people dance banging two rocks together if it comes to it. Sure, they have their preferences, demands even, but if push comes to shove it’s about them and not the tech rider. Their technique starts in their heads, not their hands. If you took that DJ and dropped them in any situation with nothing but the shirt on their back, they don’t just manage, they shine.
A great DJ can even play with other people’s tunes and sound better than their owner. This is what Day Party Experience brings to the event it ain't no party like a Day Party.
What do you love most about your job?
Love's making sure people take their minds off of the many day to day struggles that we face by making sure they have a good time. I tell my customers they don't pay me to perform they pay me to set up and break down all my heavy gear. lol
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love music and like helping people solve problems when it comes to entertainment marketing or promotions. The first time I ever seen a dj at a party rock a crowd I said to myself I want to do the same thing.
Why should our clients choose you?
Creating great value for the customer is my number one objective. We tend to under-promise and over deliver. My business motto is less talk more action, I can show you better then I can tell you
