I have used Barbara twice, for a boudoir photo shoot and for my wedding and both times I got amazing photos! She is laid back but professional, which in my opinion is the prefect combination for what can be a stressful day. We did a maternity shoot with Barbara, and we LOVE her work!We were on our babymoon, and decided to do the shoot last minute. We started looking for photographers, and we are so lucky we found her!! She accommodated us the same day.She used both film and digital cameras during the shoot. She was able to capture the moments so well. The pictures are so graceful. The lighting she was able to capture during the sunset is just amazing!She got the pictures to us promptly after the shoot. And she even edited our favorites for us.We would highly recommend Barbara. I was very hesitant to do a boudoir shoot but soooo glad I did and chose Barbara. When you meet her she is so calm and nonchalant it feels like you are just stopping by to hang out instead of getting naked and taking pictures! She quickly was aware I was a little shy about the whole thing but after just a few a minutes I was completely at ease in the photo shoot. I added the make up and hair artist was also a good experience; I never wear that much make up and was initially worried about it being too much but they were right...for the photos it was just the right amount. I loved my boudoir photo shoot with Barbara. She has a great energy and made me feel comfortable right away. She also told me exactly how to pose and used a couple of different backgrounds for the shoot, including a very cool art studio. The photographs are perfect and look like they could be in a fashion magazine. Barbara is clearly very talented and has a good eye for light and composition. The book I received was very high quality. I also loved the hair and makeup artist Barbara used -- I've had my hair and makeup done many times and I don't think it's ever looked better! The experience itself was a lot of fun and I definitely think it's worth the investment. I think it's as much a gift for yourself as it is for your partner, so if you're hesitating, just do it! Barbara is a wonderful person and awesome photographer. She has worked with us on three different occasions (maternity, birth & newborn photography) and we are so happy we chose her! The pictures she takes - and then edits - capture the moment and are purely beautiful... I first met Barbara more than 2.5 years ago, my husband and I chose Barbara as our wedding photographer.  We loved her style and her price for the quality couldn't be beat.  We were super happy with our engagement pictures and ecstatic when she gave us our wedding pictures and slide show.  For our wedding she shot in both film and digital and really caught the romance of the day as well as the joy of our family and friends.   Barbara is amazing and comes into her element when she is behind the camera and made us feel so comfortable.I recently saw that Barbara was going to start doing Boudior and always wanted to do it and knew that she would put such a fun spin on it. We did our shoot yesterday at a swanky/fun hotel in west hollywood and it was such a blast! I am not a sexy person, but Barbara made me feel so confident and good about myself that I had no problem strutting my stuff knowing that she knew what to do to make me look amazing.
