Happy Otter Photography is run by professional female wedding photographer, Emma Womersley, who has over 9 years experience photographing weddings throughout Yorkshire and the North East. Growing up in York, and then living in Bishop Auckland has given Emma access to some amazing wedding venues from Harrogate, Wetherby and Leeds, up to Newcastle, Yarm and Teesside. Travelling an hour in any direction leaves her perfectly placed to cover weddings in areas such as Durham, Darlington, Ripon, Thirsk and Northallerton. Emma has naturally developed her own unique style which is a storytelling blend of documentary and reportage photography designed and delivered with modest and introverted couples at heart. Her relaxed and compassionate style of photography allows couples and their guests to feel at ease throughout the day and gives rise to some fantastic emotion filled moments captured on camera. The Happy Otter name developed as Emma realised she was suited to capturing clients who were not too keen on the idea of posing, but still really wanted to have beautiful photos of themselves and guests. She’d started out her photographic life tirelessly trying to photograph an otter which lived on the river Ouse near her home, and learned that otters are very shy and elusive creatures. It took patience, perseverance and sensitivity, to photograph the otter behaving naturally. Her perfect clients often have many of the same characteristics as otters, and even otters want beautiful wedding photos!

The promise is to bring quality bubbles, red wine and white, to not just compliment the food, but to enjoy the whole evening, leaving your guests asking ‘where did you get these super wines?’. Russell and Iain have travelled extensively through Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Australia, Italy and France sampling the many different wines to enjoy. Most of the best ones are not in this country however that is not a problem! Russell and Iain can get you something special! If you would like to have quality, affordable, spectacular wines at your wedding, or special event, then pick up the phone to arrange simply a discussion about the service. If you want cheap wines at the wedding /event then, this service is not for you. Sometimes, caterers offer to get them for you, and yes, you can do this, however if you want something affordable, yet quality and super, this service is for you! What would Personal Cellar do? After having a discussion around the service, Russell would follow the different stages: 1. Understand the structure and size of the wedding, number of guests, location, etc, either face to face or a phone call 2. Suggestion from Russell as to what could be done, giving suggestions and outline numbers and budget 3. Russell would order suggestions for the occasion which would compliment the food, giving estimated budget etc. 4. Once wine has arrived, Russell and Iain would arrange a personal wine tasting. A selection of wines would be given and hopefully chosen by the arrangers of the wedding. Feel free to invite some friends and have a super evening of fun and wine together. This could be organised anywhere you choose. 5. iain would then order wines, (enough for wedding party) as agreed with Bride and Groom, or family 6. Once wine has arrived, it would be delivered to the organisers, or catering/bar team with tasting notes etc if required. 7. Instructions would be given as to best way to serve the wines on the day (dependent on choice)
