I

Isobel Bradley

I am a sole-trader and my work includes completing Self-Assessment Tax Returns and all areas of bookkeeping. I have weekly, monthly and quarterly clients for which includes VAT returns, payroll, debtors and creditors. I have multi-company Sage on my laptop and am familiar with Xero and Quickbooks too. My strengths are being organised, thorough and methodical. I am also very approachable and am always contactable, evenings and weekends, as I understand that people lead very busy lives. I respond to emails/texts/voicemail messages very promptly too as clients have concerns and want an answer.

What do you love most about your job?

I love organising and making clients feel that their book-keeping or tax return is in capable hands. A lot of clients aren't comfortable dealing with HMRC and I love taking that pressure away from people. I am in my element with paperwork.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I started my own business because I came across many people who were not satisfied with using large, expensive accountancy firms. I felt that I could offer a more personable service one-to-one and be available and contactable which is often what clients seek.

Why should our clients choose you?

Clients should choose me because I am approachable and I don't mind how many times they pick up the phone to me, even to ask me the same question. I am trustworthy, honest, organised and always willing to help.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I can provide services online and remotely. I have multi-company Sage so I can produce accounts through a recongised accountancy software. I use HMRC's Basic PAYE Tools for payroll up to 9 employees for which the software is free of charge.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

As most of my work is remote, Covid-19 hasn't effected my business.
I do go on site to a few monthly clients and I insist that they are not in the office when I visit and the desk area is cleaned sufficiently before my arrival.
