I've worked as a DJ since the early 90s and have worked in music, entertainment and theatre ever since. In terms of what I do as a DJ, the short answer is 'whatever you want me to do'! It's kind of odd but with a lot of DJs out there that is actually really unusual - I'm sure we've all been at events, whatever they might be - functions, Weddings and parties - where the DJ seems to be a law unto themselves, plays whatever they like and pays no mind whatsoever to what the client or the guests actually want! If you came back the following week you may well find they'd be playing exactly the same music to a completely different crowd of people! I think it's really important that the music for your function is as unique, well thought out and put together as the rest of your event. To that end I always suggest that you either give me some kind of an indication of your favourites together with what you know friends and family will like, or at the very least a list of say half a dozen 'must plays', half a dozen 'would like to hear' and also half a dozen 'absolutely do not plays'. Either way it gives me a great snapshot of what you like which then helps fill out the rest of the evening's music, together with requests from you and your guests on the night. As well as a DJ I can also source all kinds of other entertainment if you need it - anything from a table magician to a band or even a full cabaret show to make your function utterly unique!

A 2 year college course took me to my first junior position, over the next 6 years I passed through a number of Advertising Agency creative departments finishing as a Creative Director in a Birmingham based agency. You pay the second agreed fee once the logo is complete and has been delivered in the various file formats required. I am always happy to discuss work within a specific budget but my fees are in line with the Bark suggested costs guide lines.
