Tree Surgery & Removal

perfect in EVERY way. Very friendly, very professional. Martin did exactly what I needed. When I looked at the work at the end, every bit was swept away, all clean. You don’t get better than this. Thank you very much, Martin. More...

Topped a tree that was too close to electrical wires. Excellent service, removed all cuttings and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

I have used ZIP TREES as my GO-TO sub contracting company for years now.I have personally had many bad experiences in the past but Zip Trees has proven to me that there are still reliable contractors out there. I have used ZIP TREES on several occasions, every time left with 110% satisfaction. Top Quality care taken when on site, a great knowledge and understanding of the trees and surroundings as well as respecting clients needs and wishes.Punctuality is a must for me and ZIP TREES has never let me down in this department, always on time for the start of contractual work and happy to carry out extra if needed. If your needing a Qualified Tree surgeon for the work to be carried out professionally and safely ZIP TREES should be your GO-TO tree surgery company.cannot recommend highly enough. 5 STARS More...

We had a pretty big willow which needed some sensitive pollarding. It was awkward to tackle and was close to some power/phone lines as well. Martin tackled the job very methodically, carefully and professionally; always willing to explain what he was doing and why.In my opinion he went above and beyond what was needed and despite the job taking longer than planned he honoured his original quote.Needless to say we're getting him back for some more work we need doing More...

This guy had a tough job with a 20-foot high privet hedge and some barb-wired entangled elder trees that had overgrown and had become wrapped in it and were growing through our fence. He was fastidiously careful not to damage it further or upset the neighbours and he fell over to please my wife who changed her mind a couple of times about what she wanted and worked well into the twilight to do the job over 3-days. Had all the right kit and gave my wife boxes of chips from the shredder to spread on the soil. Super eco-friendly and a great price for the job - a competitor wanted more just to take the waste away if WE cut it down! More...

Q&As

Working with local people, being outdoors working with natural organism's, materials & in harmony with nature, being in a job that's an M&M (mind & muscle) job - you have to be fit and strong but also operate intelligently to do what we do & having the satisfaction of a job well done and happy customers.

We're a local business and actively seek to serve the local community within a 20 mile radius of Hexham. One of the benfits of using a local business is accountability; reputation is everything and you're only as good as your last job, so you have to look after people. As often as we can, we go the extra mile or three;
1. Always go to site to carry out a survey & find out exactly what a client wants.
2. Always produce an accurate quote, often with photo's so a client knows exactly what they are getting and we have a firm scope of works.
3. Once a job is complete, asking the client to inspect the work to make sure they are happy, if there are any snags, we can then rectify them immediately, so we both feel at the end it is a job well done.

We're a 'hands on' type of business, so we can't work remotely other than talking about a job over the phone, preparing planning applications for local authorities, producing quotes, etc.

We The People - all now know that this was a massive HOAX! NHS staff were so busy they could all make tikx tockx videos, dancing in full PPE, that was so hard to get.
The 'excess deaths' are now off the scale, I know of lots of friends / of friends who've died between 45-55 of; myocarditis, inflammation of the brian, clots, auto-immune conditions - all of them had some sort of 'vax' - didn't stop them getting 'C' or passing it on, no one I know died of 'C' - not so safe or effective. Politicians & 'BIG Pharma' - made billions? Nothing to see here then?? Natural immunity, is the way to go!

Services

Full range of tree work covered from: Full tree dismantles, removal of deadwood, pruning, tree crown reductions & thinning. All waste is removed and tipped at a registered green waste composting site.

Once a tree has been removed we can deal with the stump as well, we have a TORO stump grinder and unlike a lot of firms that just take off the top 4", we go down to the top of the tap root, removing all of the stump / root ball. Once finished we rake the ground level and remove any excess material and tip at a registered composting site.

We love privet! Although alot of people don't... We will maintain any hedge you have, be it a; leylandii, holly, privet, beech, yew, hawthorn, laurel..... We can trim, shape, reduce height or width. Once done we sweep and blow any debris away leaving your site or garden looking marvelous.
If you require a traditional stock proof laid hedge, give us a shout.

This is required if you would like work done on a tree in a CONSERVATION AREA or that has a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) connected to it. We work with planning departments to carry out the work required. This is quite a contentious issue, seen by some as an unlawful overreach by councils, in which case we can assist in a lawful rebuttal of a proposed TPO.

If you have woodland on your property or farm that is in need of attention; to clear the woodland floor, open up gaps for high seats for deer management, apply for a felling license to harvest timber, we can help you out with a management plan and then implement it.
