MacBook Pro died...took it to Alex, who spent about half an hour looking at it. He showed me and explained what the problem was. Expvlained it would be very expensive (I only wanted my music off it). I took my Mac book pro to Zapp due to a graphics issue which wasn’t allowing my Mac to start up. After useless customer service from Apple, endless searching the web and countless phone calls to find a solution I stumbled on Zapp. Alex was so knowledgeable and friendly that I travelled across London for him to look at my laptop. He immediately knew what to do and the issue was fixed in 2 days! Now I will not take any of my devices anywhere else for service or repairs. Took my daughter’s MacBook Air to ZAPP IT yesterday. After dropping it off at the shop, I was kept informed about cost and it was ready for collection earlier than anticipated. I had to return the laptop today because I discovered a problem that could not have been foreseen and it is being fixed under the one year warranty awarded yesterday! At last an Apple engineer who is actually is a "genius" unlike those who have had been on a 24 hour course at the Apple Store and try to pass themselves off as someone who knows about what makes their computers work. My macbook had shut down and nothing I did would work. I called Apple's helpline and they could not do anything over the phone except to book an appointment with an apple specialist in the other side of London.
That 'specialist' said that the logic board was probably damaged and it would cost around £700, over 2/3 of the price of the laptop.
I called around locally and found Zapp IT and left a message on their site about my laptop. This was around 11pm and in a few minutes I had a call asking more about my laptop and an appointment the next day. After looking at my laptop they said it was actually the screen (lid) of my laptop not the logic. They also took out my hard drive for me as I had urgent work I needed for that day.
These guys are super helpful, quick at their jobs, and offer a year's warranty on their repairs. I would definitely be coming here again.
