Really impressed with the attitude and work ethic of the installers. Really happy with the installation generally, however one drawback is rather than have the rocker switch installed adjacent to the existing electric supply it has been installed on the opposite wall and has a extension from a socket to an additional socket then to the switch.

I would concure with the review from Sharon Dyson. Zap from Wakefield were excellent from start to finish. We initially visited the Zap showroom and there was met by Christine, who was very helpful and professional. Christine showed us various doors, explained how they worked, an idea about pricing, she was a pleasure to speak with and an excellent representative for the company. Philip the salesman came to the house and gave us a good competitive quote for 2 composite doors and a garage door with electric motor. There was no hard sell, the conversation was relaxed, but professional, and we decided we would book for the work to be done. The work team arrived on time and completed the work to a very good standard. They were friendly, tidy and professional. I have just had to call Zap back after couple of months due to the back door sticking when closing it. Christine again was superb arranging for someone to come out in about a week to sort it out. I’d like to share my opinion on Zap Garage Doors Wakefield it’s not a normal thing for me but when a company as gone that extra mile to help me and my husband to make a decision on a garage door which makes a massive improvement to the front of our house I think it’s only right to say so I will be honest I looked at the reviews before hand and a little doubtful but we had be recommended to this firm and I’m so glad I used them there salesman which I think is called Phil was brilliant no hard sales at all just a genuine guy and so bubbly we was so happy to let Zap do our Garage door and the service didn’t just stop there we was informed when the door would be fitted On the day of fitting two gentlemen came and introduced themselves and just got on with the job I kept them full with tea/coffee oh and biscuits and when they was done the gentlemen went through how the door worked and made sure I was happy with everything which I was over the moon what a difference loved it So I would definitely recommend and will be recommending them Thanks so much ZAP GARAGE DOORS

We received excellent customer service by staff in both the Doncaster and Sheffield showrooms. The surveyor Jason visited us at home on a couple of occasions and was extremely knowledgable thus able to satisfy our questions re the installation. This put us at ease thus we ordered both a Hormann front door together with a matching Hormann electric operated garage door.The first stage was the garage door to be installed and the front door to follow 4 weeks later. The garage door arrived exactly on time. This was installed by their own in house team namely Jimmy, Gavin and Ian. They carried out the work with speed, good product knowledge and excellent customer courtesy, nothing was too much trouble. As we were unsure what colour trim we required, they cut sections in a few colours and offered it up to allow us to make our decision.The front door is due to arrive in a months time and we have no apprehension what so ever. Allowed 2 stars for the fact that they were fitted o.k. The doors are however something else. I bought the vertical up and over doors, with side pedestrian door, don't bother as they have gaps all the way round that allow wind and rain to ingress. This is in the norm I am told, and no doors are made to keep out rain. Wish this had been made clear at survey and I wouldn't have bothered as old doors did a better job. So I'm now a lot poorer but a lot wiser. Do NOT recommend that anyone buys the vertical up and over doors. More...

Sorry you are not happy with the doors you picked but all up and overs have a 1/2 inch gap around no matter what manufacturer you go for. If you need sealed doors i would have recommended Hormann sectional garage doors as they have seals on alll four sides. If you wish to part ex the ones you have please call the office and ask for me.
