How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
A healthy diet and lifestyle is incredibly important to health and wellbeing. It boosts energy, improves confidence and can prevent or reduce the symptoms of many illnesses (i.e. diabetes, heart disease, strokes to name but a few).
What do you love most about your job?
Easy! The patients and seeing them succeed. The joy someone feels when they reach their goal, or have a great week is so rewarding. And if they don't have such a good week our lovely staff and doctors will pick them up and encourage them, with kindness and without judgement.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having battled with my weight for the last 20 years, I truly understand how difficult it can be to lose weight. When I was made redundant in February 2020 and subsequently unable to find a job, I made the decision to open up a clinic, where people could come and talk to a docor and clinic staff face to face. There are a lot of online slimming businesses, but I wanted to offer the personal touch.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because we really care. We want our clients to come to a safe, friendly environment where they can discuss their concerns with our doctors. We want our clients to succeed and we are available in between appointments for them to call us and discuss any concerns they might have.

No - we don't offer an online or remote service. We believe that the most successful way of losing weight is face to face contact - an initial half hour appointment where our doctors will discuss eating habits, go through medical history, take blood pressure, check heart and decide on the best treatment plan, whether that be appetite suppressants, Saxenda injections or just weekly weigh ins. Then follow up appointments to check on the progress.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We ask our clients to wear masks in the clinic and use the hand sanitizer provided. We take temperatures and ask if clients have experienced any Covid symptoms in the last 48 hours. We have twice weekly antibacterial cleans by an outside company. All the staff and doctors wear masks.
