I took one of my rescue dogs to Jo today for grooming and was quite worried as he'd previously snarled at a groomer and also doesn't see very well close up and is head shy. I needn't have worried, Jo spent ages with him and made it a nice experience for him (the cheese helped!) and when we went to collect him we found a happy dog and a happy groomer! Jo's amazing. She takes her time and loves the little pooches so you don't have to worry about them one bit. She has really made a great relationship with my elder Shihtzu who is a bit of a mummy's boy and doesn't take too quick to other people. She did a fantastic job with my feisty puppy who really needed a proper full groom at 4 and a half months because her hair was on the ground. What do you love most about your job?
I love working with dogs, I have two of my own who I love so much, they're family and bring so much joy to our lives so I treat all my clients pooches like they are my own.
What inspired you to start your own business?
So I can be my own boss, choose my own working hours and not have to work to strict times per dog, I like to take my time so the pooches enjoy the grooming sessions without being rushed.

Full Groom
Bath and dry, brush out, clipping and styling of the coat, hygiene clip, ears cleaned and plucked if required, nails trimmed if required.
Maintenance Groom
Perfect for inbetween full grooms, your pooch will be bathed and dryed, and also have a light trim around the eye area, bum area and paws.
Bath and Dry
A basic bath and dry with a brush through.
Handstripping
Handstripping the coat to breed standard, hygiene clip, use of blending scissors to finish and perfect the style, bathed using a specialist shampoo and then dryed.
Puppy Intro's
Bathed and dryed, brush through, light trim around eye area, bum area and paws, nails trimmed, receiving lots of praise, love and snuggles before progressing onto clipper training etc on further appointments.
Every puppy is different and learn differently and at varying paces, patience is the key.

Now offering ultrasound teeth cleaning service subject to results from pre-assessment.
Ultrasound Teeth Cleaning breaks down tartar and plaque buildup without any sedation or anesthetic.
Kinder to your dogs and also kinder to your purse/wallet.
Ear Plucking/Cleaning
Applies to certain breeds only for ear plucking.
Clearing the outer ear of hair to decrease the risk of infection, irritations, hearing problems (leaving the hair to grow will create a cone of hair, dirt and wax that will block the ear canal).
Some dogs' ears produce alot more wax than others and may require more frequent cleaning.
Nail Trimming
Keeping the correct nail length on those paws is very important.
Long nails can turn a sound paw into a splayed foot and reduce traction, and they can cause deformed feet and injure the tendons over an extended period. As the long nail hits the ground, the pressure puts force on the foot and leg structure.
