Services

Some thoughts and feelings often get buried deep down inside causing our behaviours, choices and day to day emotions to be deeply affected. Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to talk about these thoughts and feelings or life events.

Within Art Psychotherapy clients can use art materials to explore thoughts, feelings and emotions. You can talk as much or as little as you like.

We work in a psychodynamic or integrative approach meaning that we really help you to think about your subconscious feelings, and support you completely, in understanding and analysing your internal self to create positive change in your life and your mental wellbeing.

We use creative play with the art materials to reconnect with the clients sense of self and explore issues in a fun and safe way that feels positive.

Here at WildMoorArts clients are in charge of their therapy - whilst we guide clients through their difficulties, we work at a speed appropriate to their needs.

We usually recommend 12-18 sessions of Art Psychotherapy for specific interventions but some people need more sessions and some people need less.

£50.00 for 50min session

£270.00 for 6 sessions booked and paid as a block

Children that have experienced trauma or loss in life can have trouble with forming relationships and building attachments or trust in safe adults. Their behaviours can feel random and “purposely naughty”, and they could either withdraw or act out.
But this is not their fault, and we strongly believe here that there is no such thing as a “naughty” child.
Behaviour is an attempt to communicate when words fail. Here at WildMoorArts, our specialised Parent/Carer and Child Dyadic art psychotherapy is there to help parents/carers work with the child to understand the behaviours and help the child to communicate their thoughts and feelings more appropriately. We support parents and carers in building a positive attachment focussed relationship with their child and help their child reconnect to a primary care giver and build new safe attachments with trust and communication.
