Wild Rover Food

We chose Wild Rover to cater for our wedding last weekend, and we are so glad we did! Their unique set up and menu appealed to us hugely, and they offered something very different to other caterers that we looked into.

O M G !!!! This was the bestest food ever. My daughter got married 4th aug and hired them. We are all foodies but this was AMAZING. I cannot d3scribe how gorgeous this food was. Honesty!!! All local produce. Was fabby the way they came to explain what the food was and where it came from which is so important How they managed to cater for 80 people where everything was perfection I do not know!!!! All beautifully presented as well. Loved the way s.one from a table collected the main. everyone adored it. Do you know what we all commented was the potatoes and the herb salsa. Had these wonderful people cater our wedding last month-what can I say ! It was truly AMAZING! We absolutely loved the casual, family style service-involving the guests is a great idea. Thank you so much for catering at our wedding at Kinkell Byre. Everyone absolutely loved all the food from the amazing canapés to the slow cooked brisket to the "best bacon rolls I've ever had" (most guests) for late food. I can't recommend Wild Rover highly enough. Not only is their food excellent, their style of service and the way they integrate with your plans is what makes them standout. We just wanted to send through a little, well a HUGE, thank you!!!

I don't know how we can ever really say thank you enough, we knew from Polly and Ross, the menu, previous correspondence and looking at what others had to say that you were going to be great, but I don't think we even dared think how good! !

Everything was beyond what we expected. The field kitchen looks amazing, the canapés were out of this world, all the food was just insane! That pie. That starter board! The guest server approach went down a storm. You guys and your team were so warm and kind and helpful.

Honestly, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Everyone commented on the quality of the food and how exceptional it was and stood out from normal 'wedding fare'. Not one person was hungry. We had a lot of dietary requirements and all mentioned how special they felt, not deemed a pain or an after thought.

Good luck with everything, and your exciting new arrival.

When we first decided on a DIY wedding, a large part of the reason for that was because we wanted to pick the caterers ourselves. From the start Cat and Rob were fantastic at coming up with an amazing sounding menu to fit everything we asked for, and went above and beyond to provide extra information about the wedding day itself when we were slightly clueless. Thank you so, so much to you and your team!
Wild Rover were definitely a major highlight of our wedding! We saw first hand all the preparation and hard work that goes into the food for the day . I think pretty much every guest at the wedding commented on how good it was!!

Wild rover catered our wedding at the byre at inchyra. It was nothing but phenomenal. The food was outstanding!! Everyone enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the guest servers loved how involved they were. All I heard all day was how much everyone enjoyed the food. Even me, a really annoying fussy person, ate every bit and loved it! They catered for vegans, vegetarians, gluten and alcoholic intolerant guests and no blips.
If I could do it all again I would. I hope I get to tasted their food again one day.

Wild Rover catered our wedding at the start of July and they were amazing! Cat and Rob were fabulous from start to finish and accomodated all of our requests to give us the menu we wanted. Their relaxed approach to the food and serving complimented our wedding style perfectly. The food was absolutely fabulous and our guests are still talking about it - the canapes and the beef in particular. We also asked if they could come back and provide Brunch the following day for our bridal party and close family and they didn't disappoint with the most amazing fry up. Where do you start! Everything from planning to pudding was perfect! Catherine, Rob and the Wild Rover gang whipped up the most delicious meal for our wedding. Every guest commented that the food was the "best food they had ever had at a wedding". Really amazing, one of a kind, friendly and personal wedding catering. The staff were all amazing, friendly and accommodating. The guest service went off with a bang, guests didn't expect it but really loved it. Our foodie guests were raving about the braised beef brisked and salsa verde. Wild Rover went the extra mile by making a Dutch canape in the shape of 'bitterballen'. Our Dutch guests said they were not quite the real thing, but were actually a lot nicer! :) The night ended with a Scottish classic, haggis, neeps & tatties - which was a perfect ending. If I had to give 1 piece of negative feedback; Wild Rover was sometimes a little bit slow to communicate over email, but have made up for it by providing such a great service on the day. We had our wedding on the Isle of Arran in October last year, in the small village of Corrie where we live. When we first discovered wild rover we knew instantly we had to have them and thankfully for us Wild Rover were happy to oblige. Being a chef myself it was exactly the kind of cooking I admire. They sourced produce from the island including bread from the Blackwaterfoot bake house, Beef from the Arran butcher and a local organic vegetables. They exceeded expectations in every way possible - from the kitchen setup, the wonderful hardworking staff, the delicious food and of course Cat and Rob who organised everything to perfection. We really could not have been happier with everything and can't recommend them highly enough! Thank you WILD ROVER :)
