I’ve been lucky enough to benefit from the wonders of Well Trodden Path. Kate massaged my dodgy legs into practically a new pair, feeling completely rejuvenated and revitalised. Matt is now motivating my pigeon toes into running feet, my hammies to unfurl their tightness, my core into action and getting me back onto a better running track than I have ever been on before - what a team! I have been working with Kate and Matt as I prepare to walk to Everest Base Camp and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Their care, attention to detail and thoughtful, tailored work for my specific needs has been first rate. I am feeling stronger, fitter and more mobile in a comfortable body and I absolutely credit Kate and Matt for the results I'm getting.
My body is not straightforward, having scoliosis means that dysfunctions in movement patterns and strength are occurring all the time, but by having two professionals collaborating over the best approach for me, my body feels the best it has in a long time. I can highly recommend booking an appointment, your body will thank you!

Matt's 5 stars are well deserved- his energy and enthusiasm not only for fitness but also for general well-being is infectious. Rather than being a 'quick fix' he has helped me to set longer term goals and kept me motivated towards achieving them. For those of you that like results- since starting training with Matt last summer I have reached and maintained my goal weight, improved my flexibility and strength and taken 3 mins 20 off my park run time. I have known Matt and Kate for nearly four years and I just wish I had them in my life 40 years ago! Despite my limitations Matt has motivated me to meet them and push through. I would recommend him to anyone who has the desire to keep as fit as possible. He has a quiet intensity that is catching! It is impossible not to want to do better. I have also been benefitting from Kate's massages. She has a way of explaining exactly what is happening with my body and how I can help reduce aches and pains. Kate's sport therapy massage is fantastic. It's simply what it should be: a feedback powered exploration of your soft tissue to find issues with heaps of advice and guidance for what to do between sessions. You don't feel like you've been for a one off rub down or a pain filled session with a human foam roller, instead you feel like you've created a partnership with someone who's going to look out for your body so you can crack on with trying to achieve whatever it is you're doing in the sporting world. I would encourage anyone who can, and really wants to live in a healthier and fitter way, to work with Kate and Matt.
Their holistic attitude to the whole concept of good health is compelling and they are not at all judgemental.
I have found their encouragement and willing involvement in all aspects of my efforts to keep fit and to be as well as I could possibly be, so reassuring.

I cannot recommend Matt at Well Trodden Path highly enough. I have been having weekly sessions for over a year and he has always been patient and encouraging and always takes an individual approach to a fitness plan, with a key focus on long term goals. Sessions are always challenging, but fun, and offer variety. I have gone from being a complete couch potato to someone who can run a 5k and have found the joy in exercise again. More...
