Recently replaced my gas boiler with an ATAG. Discussed various brands with my plumber, whom I've used for years and works independently and isn't an installer for a particular brand. He recommended ATAG based on the quality of the boilers and their customer service and 10yr warranty (knowing he was going to be the one fitting and servicing it). The delivery was fast (next day) and installation went extremely smoothly. An excellent boiler, quiet in operation, easy to use and good warranty from manufacturer. I had not heard of this make until my plumber recommended it. I was then only able to find a few and very old bad reviews, these related to the fitting not the boiler. All other reviews were excellent. Mine is installed in a bedroom cupboard, so quiet operation is key and you can barley hear the boiler when running. The life time guarantee on the heat exchange is fantastic, I have never heard of a company been so secure that they offer this, my old boiler had 2 heat exchangers installed in the 14 years i had it. Seems like a good boiler had no problems but only been in a few months old. Only downside is that the atag one room stat isn't properly wireless so I had to swap it for a different one.

I searched online for a recommended boiler and found Atag, the efficiency, ease of use and easy servicing brought it to my attention. I bought my boiler through Chalmers gas. I have to say I have no regrets, from start to finish Martin was completley professional, polite, and down to earth. He explained every step of the process of installation, he also saved me money as I thought the radiator TRV's would need replaced but on inspection Martin assured me no money needs spent on them. We had an IC Econ 39 Plus installed on 22/2/2020 by Platinum Plumbing and Heating. We were very pleased with the installation, and got a full explanation of the boiler’s functions and features. So far the boiler is performing very well, and even on Econ mode hot water is produced pretty quickly. We've been fitting these boilers for a fair few years now and haven't had any problems until now. A third party valve failure mean't that a complete heating system was down before it got up (boiler arrived with parts and the boiler worked but the parts didn't). The parts were not Atag but from the worlds biggest supplier of those parts (because they are the best quality), however this time they failed. Atag sent replacement spares by 10am the next day. They showed considerable understanding and apologised and yet still delivered working parts the next day. This shows that when things hit the fan, certain co.s react really well, supporting the installer and customer in turn. Atag are designed for a minimum lifespan of 18yrs, If you don't get 25 out of these i'd be surprised. More...
